At that time, the king of the country of Kalinga set a great fire to kill all the deer on the island. Then, all the deer and birds on the island, whether flying in the sky, walking on the ground, or swimming in the water, were disturbed by the burning fire. Those who flew in the sky flew into the sky. Those who swam in the water entered the water. Those who walked on the ground separated from each other and ran away. On that island, there was a chick that had not yet grown wings. Then, the mother bird dipped leaves in the water and sprinkled them around the chick. After sprinkling, she ran back and forth, striving again and again. Then, the chick saw its mother doing this. Seeing it, it said to its mother: Mother, why are you working so hard? The mother said: Child, you should know. The king of the country of Kalinga set a great fire to kill all the deer on the island.
