Please proclaim and announce the well-spoken words to me. However, I will do whatever you desire. When the Brahmins and householders heard that the Brahmin boy seeking Dharma wanted to give up his life for the sake of well-spoken words, they all cried, with tears streaming down their faces, and ran to where the Brahmin boy seeking Dharma was, and said these words to the Brahmin boy seeking Dharma: "Seeker of Dharma, do not give up your life! Seeker of Dharma, you can still practice generosity and do good deeds while staying at home!" The Brahmin boy seeking Dharma said these words to those Brahmins and householders: "Venerable ones, do not say such things! I will definitely fulfill the teacher's wishes." Then, the Brahmin boy seeking Dharma had a large sacrificial altar built. After building the large sacrificial altar, he had a large pit dug next to it. After digging, he had it filled with fire. After filling it with fire that did not burn or smoke, he said these words to that Brahmin: "Teacher, please proclaim and announce the well-spoken words to me." Then, that Brahmin showed the Brahmin boy seeking Dharma this kind of verse: Always rejoice in giving, Always practice perfect morality, Strive for the supreme abode of diligence, Attain the excellent and supreme Dharma through wisdom. Then, the Brahmin boy seeking Dharma accepted the Brahmin's verse very well and gathered many people. After gathering many people, he climbed to the top of the high sacrificial altar and proclaimed this verse to the crowd: Always rejoice in giving, Always practice perfect morality, Strive for the supreme abode of diligence, Attain the excellent and supreme Dharma through wisdom. Then, after the Brahmin boy seeking Dharma proclaimed this verse to those many people, he spoke these words of truth: "May all the great gods residing in this land pay attention to me. Also, the Nagas, Yakshas, Gandharvas, Asuras, Garudas, Kinnaras, and the great Mahoragas, etc."

Please, everyone, listen to me. I will practice giving, practice supreme giving, practice giving of giving, and practice complete giving of myself. By the truth and the words of truth, the complete giving that I practice is not for the sake of a king, not for the sake of enjoyment, not for the sake of heaven, not for the sake of a universal monarch, but rather, how I will attain the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and then tame the untamed beings, liberate the unliberated beings, free the unfreed beings, give rest to those who have not found rest, and lead those who have not entered Nirvana into Nirvana. By the truth and the words of truth, may my complete giving not be in vain. After saying this, he jumped into that fire pit. Monks, the moment the Brahmin boy who desired the Dharma jumped into the fire pit, the fire in the fire pit went out, turning into a lotus pond, and the Brahmin boy who desired the Dharma sat on the lotus with buzzing bees, teaching the Dharma, that is, pure conduct, good in the beginning, good in the middle, good in the end, with excellent meaning, excellent words, pure and unmixed, complete, pure, and perfectly pure. That Brahmin, with flames erupting from his entire body, said, "Understanding words from words," and fell into the great evil path hell. At this time, the Brahmin boy who desired the Dharma said, "Teacher, do not be alarmed, I will protect you." Then, the Brahmin boy who desired the Dharma spoke such words of truth at that time: "By the truth and the words of truth, the truth of my practice of Bodhi for the benefit of all beings, by this truth, may the burning body of this Brahmin be completely pacified, and may he be liberated from the evil path hell." As soon as the Brahmin boy who desired the Dharma spoke the words of truth, that Brahmin was liberated from that evil path hell. Monks, at that time, at that moment, do you doubt or wonder if the one who became the Brahmin boy who desired the Dharma was someone else?

Do not view Sana in that way. Monks, at that time, at that moment, I became a Brahmin boy named Choydo (ཆོས་འདོད་, Seeking Dharma). Monks, do not doubt or hesitate, thinking that the Brahmin who became a Brahmin at that time and at that moment was someone else. Householder Palbe (དཔལ་སྦས་, Glorious Hidden) became a Brahmin at that time and at that moment. Monks, at that time, Householder Palbe also wanted to burn me in a fire pit and make me fall into the great evil hell. But I pulled him back from that great evil hell and placed him in the Dharma and Vinaya of the Noble Ones, combining this and that in this way. Monks, even now, Palbe wants to burn me in a fire pit and make me fall into the great evil hell. But I pulled him back from that great evil hell and placed him in the Dharma and Vinaya of the Noble Ones, combining that and this in this way. Good and non-good, what was done before is not wasted. Relying on the wise is not wasted. The good words of the Noble Sangha are not wasted. Giving rewards for what has been done is never wasted. Doing well is virtuous action. Doing badly is non-virtuous. There is also a time for ripening. Without being taken away, the fruit ripens. The Blessed One spoke thus. The monks, nuns, laymen, laywomen, and gods, nagas, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, and all the retinue were delighted and praised what the Blessed One had said. The Sutra of the Noble Glorious Hidden is complete. Translated and revised by the Indian Abbot Jinamitra (ཛི་ན་མི་ཏྲ་, Sanskrit: Jinamitra, meaning Victorious Friend) and Danashila (དཱ་ན་ཤཱི་ལ་, Sanskrit: Dānaśīla, meaning Generosity and Morality), and the reviser translator Bande Yeshede (བན་དེ་ཡེ་ཤེས་སྡེ།, Wisdom Army), revised with new terms and finalized. The Sutra of the Noble Glorious Hidden.
