Not generating truth, not distinguishing between falsehood or truth, this is called true samadhi. Why is that? Bodhisattvas have comprehended all samadhis they practice, and abide in true samadhi, hence the name samadhi. They are not bound by the characteristics of samadhi, because they have far transcended the characteristics of samadhi, therefore it is called abiding in true samadhi. Furthermore, there is no elaboration on all dharmas, and no elaboration on falsehood or truth regarding equal dharmas. True samadhi is the meaning of equality of all dharmas. True samadhi is far beyond all samadhis and all conditioned dharmas of the three realms, and it is the meaning of knowing and seeing all the cycles of the five paths as they truly are. Holder of the World, therefore, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas are skilled in the Noble Path and skilled in the practice of the Path. Thus, knowing and seeing as it truly is, one will reach Nirvana. This is the eighth chapter, called "The Eight Limbs of the Noble Path." Holder of the World, what is it that Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas are skilled in regarding worldly and transworldly dharmas? What is it that obtains practice regarding worldly and transworldly dharmas? Holder of the World, Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas truly realize worldly and transworldly dharmas. Among them, what are worldly dharmas? Bodhisattvas think thus: All thoughts and discriminations about dharmas arise from perversion, are produced by causes and conditions, and depend on what is not true. Arising from two characteristics, empty and without anything, like the various colors appearing on fish scales and the whirling of a firebrand, deceiving foolish ordinary beings. From the nature of decaying and deteriorating dharmas, it is nominally designated as the world. That is what is called the world. These worldly dharmas are not all true, because they arise from untrue causes and conditions, and have no nature of arising and existing. Namely, the skandhas, dhatus, ayatanas, form, sound

Sound, smell, taste, touch, and phenomena, based on these, names and forms are described. Foolish beings, each with their own attachments and clinging minds, follow various forms, becoming attached and clinging, like tangled threads or intertwined grass and trees, connected to each other, corresponding to inversion, hence called worldly dharmas. Then, what are the transcendental dharmas? Like worldly dharmas, from the beginning, being truly separated as they are, this is called transcendental. Why is this so? Because wise ones do not cling to worldly dharmas, nor do they cling to transcendental dharmas, nor do they even cling to the places of the world and transcendence. Therefore, the world and transcendence cannot be distinguished, and transcendence is spoken of for the sake of the world, but the true nature of the world is transcendence. Why is this so? Because there is no definite nature to cling to in what is called the world. The nature of the world and transcendence is emptiness from the beginning, because there is no definite nature in worldly dharmas. The world is by nature utterly peaceful from the beginning. Bodhisattvas, understanding the dharmas of the world and transcendence in this way, do not cling to worldly dharmas, nor do they cling to transcendental dharmas. Thus, by not relying on or clinging to the dharmas of the world and transcendence, they will not contend with the world. Why is this so? Because wise ones comprehend and realize the non-true nature of the world. Seeing the world as non-true, they do not distinguish between the world and transcendence. Why is this so? The so-called "holding the world" refers to the meaning of the five aggregates of grasping. All worldly dharmas are included therein, and if wise ones examine them, there are no aggregates. Aggregates do not cling to aggregates, do not cling to the nature of aggregates, the place from which aggregates come cannot be clung to, nor can the place where they abide, nor can the place where they go, because aggregates

The five and the twelve sense bases, and the eighteen elements are also without object. They are not to be distinguished, without name, without own-being, without characteristic, and not to be practiced, therefore it is called transcendence of the world. World Holder, when Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas fully realize the dharmas of the world and transcendence of the world, the dharmas of the world are not together with the dharmas of transcendence of the world. The dharmas of transcendence of the world are also not separate from the dharmas of the world. Thus, that person sees the dharmas of transcendence of the world without being separate from the world. Without being separate from the dharmas of transcendence of the world, they also see the dharmas of the world. Thus, that person does not focus on two aspects of behavior, namely the world and transcendence of the world. Why is that? World Holder, the true characteristic of the world is transcendence of the world. In the world, there is no characteristic of the world to focus on. In the dharmas of the world, there is no dharma of the world to focus on. Thus, there is nothing at all, so when that dharma is realized and understood, it is called transcendence of the world. World Holder, if the name 'world' is not different from transcendence of the world, then the Buddha Bhagavan would not appear in the world, and the Tathagata would not speak of all the worlds without object. All worlds, because they are unborn, know and see all worlds as they truly are. World Holder, that which does not focus on the world and does not enter the world is called transcendence of the world. Therefore, it should be understood in this way: by truly realizing the world and understanding the world without object, it is called transcendence of the world. Therefore, the Buddha Bhagavan appeared in the world. To the extent that all that belongs to the Dharma, whether it is the world or transcendence of the world, is non-dual and without distinction, and is truly known and seen, it is said to be the Dharma of transcendence of the world. World Holder, thus the world is very deep and difficult to fathom. Abiding in the dharmas of the world and
