It is far beyond the characteristics of functioning. The Bodhisattva thus knows that exertion is not exertion, and by not taking or giving up, it is called abiding in right effort. Right effort is the meaning of not being attached to exertion. It is the meaning of knowing and seeing things as they truly are. If one sees right effort in this way, one will not distinguish between right effort or wrong effort, therefore it is called right diligence. Holder of the world, how are Bodhisattvas, great beings, skilled in right mindfulness? Bodhisattvas, great beings, know that all mindfulness is wrong mindfulness. All mindfulness that is closely established is wrong mindfulness. Why is that? Because all mindfulness is wrong mindfulness. If mindfulness arises by focusing on a place, it is also wrong mindfulness. That which is without thought and mindfulness is called right mindfulness. Why is that? Because all mindfulness is not true, but arises from the cause of focusing on what is inverted, therefore all places where mindfulness arises are inverted. The place of focus that does not arise or cease is called right mindfulness. That which has no place where the activity of mindfulness arises is called abiding comfortably in pure mindfulness, because there is no place where wrong mindfulness arises. Thus, knowing and seeing that all things are inverted, there is no mindfulness of the right Dharma, therefore it is called abiding in right mindfulness. What is called right mindfulness is not distinguishing between wrong mindfulness and right mindfulness in all things. Thus, understanding and realizing that all mindfulness has no characteristics of mindfulness, one always practices the six equanimous minds, therefore it is called right mindfulness and abiding. Thus, because there is no attachment or clinging to it, one does not even discriminate without mindfulness. One realizes that all mindfulness is equal in all things. Thus, knowing and seeing all mindfulness as it truly is, one does not take or give up mindfulness or non-mindfulness, therefore it is called abiding in right mindfulness. Thus, mindfulness is equal or not

Furthermore, one does not differentiate in equality, and does not engage or focus on memory and non-memory. Because of not focusing in this way, one knows that all memories are non-memories, and the mind does not differentiate between memory and non-memory. Thus, because one abides in true mindfulness, it is not demonstrable, not expressible, cutting off all paths of speech, being separate from all paths of speech. Knowing all speech as it truly is, one does not differentiate between self or other. Therefore, it is called abiding in true mindfulness. World Holder, how do Bodhisattvas, great beings, abide in true samadhi? Bodhisattvas, great beings, realize all samadhis as inverted samadhis. Why is that? To the extent that one enters into not focusing on samadhi in all dharmas, one knows samadhi as a sign. Because of entering into the joy of samadhi, all signs of samadhi are inverted. Inversion means attachment, but that is not the nature of samadhi. Thus, the sign of entering into focus itself has no inverted sign, and there is no hope, no elaboration, no conceptualization, that is called samadhi. If there is no attachment or clinging, then one does not conceptualize self or other, cutting off the joy of attachment, not taking the taste of samadhi, cutting off the boundary of entering into samadhi, the mind not abiding in anything, that is called true samadhi. Furthermore, what is called true samadhi is not abiding in all samadhis, and in non-elaboration, truly realizing the nature of dharma as it is, therefore being extremely skilled in the characteristics of samadhi, and the mind not being attached to anything. Cutting off the path of conceptualizing self and other, and not differentiating in what is said, because of cutting off all conceptualization, it is called true samadhi. Furthermore, what is called true samadhi does not generate inverted or true perceptions, and destroys all perceptions, cuts off all perceptions, ceases all perceptions, therefore it is called true samadhi. What is called true samadhi is inverted or
