Also knows the dull roots, the roots of the Lesser Vehicle, the roots of the Solitary Buddha, the roots of the Buddha, the roots of the Bodhisattva, and the roots of Unsurpassed Bodhi. Because the Bodhisattva thus far surpasses the differences and combinations of roots, he is called skilled in distinguishing the differences of the roots of those beings. Because wisdom does not depend on others, it is called obtaining the combination of roots. It is called not being taken away by others, called indestructible, called irreversible, called obtaining the power of combination, called entering the roots, called obtaining the roots of gods, dragons, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, non-humans, etc., called obtaining the supreme root, called obtaining fearlessness and immovability, called reaching the other shore, called the spontaneous accomplishment of immeasurable merits, therefore, for all dharmas, one will quickly obtain power and freedom. The chapter called "Five Roots" is the seventh chapter. The fourth volume of the World Holder Sutra is completed. World Holder, how else are Bodhisattva Mahasattvas skilled in the Noble Path? What is the path in which Bodhisattva Mahasattvas abide comfortably in the Noble Path? It is the Eightfold Noble Path, which is Right View, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Concentration. World Holder, for Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, what is practicing the eight limbs of the Noble Path? What is obtaining the combination of the eight limbs of the Noble Path? Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, because they have become Right View, abide comfortably in Right View, diligently strive on the path in order to cut off all views, abide comfortably on the path in order to cut off all views, and even cut off viewing Nirvana and viewing the Buddha. Why is that?

Thus, all ways of looking at worldly attachments are ways of looking at Nirvana, and even looking at becoming a Buddha is looking at what is bad. In order to completely destroy and eliminate all attachments to views, it is called right view. Furthermore, having no view, not accepting views, not thinking, not clinging, not discriminating, not acting, and not conceptually elaborating on all views is called right view. What does right view see? It sees that all these worlds are completely bound by incorrect, inverted views. When one sees in this way, abiding in the cutting off of all views is called being at ease. One does not think, look, cling, or conceptually elaborate even on that very right view. Because one does not look at Nirvana, nor even look at becoming a Buddha, one strives not to generate all views. So, how does right view make all dharmas completely peaceful, with a nature that neither arises nor ceases, and in accordance with Nirvana? Like this, for all dharmas that are neither thought nor conceptually elaborated, one does not manifest neither thought nor conceptual elaboration, neither high nor low, neither taking nor giving up. This is called the supramundane right view. So, how is the supramundane right view? It is that which does not fixate on the world, nor fixate on what is beyond the world, nor fixate on transcending the world. Because there is no conceptual elaboration, it is called the supramundane right view. Furthermore, what is called right view is just as one knows and sees the world, so too is the supramundane. For the world and what is beyond the world, one does not conceptually elaborate, and in order to completely cut off all thoughts of conceptual elaboration, it is called the supramundane right view. That which does not look at what is bad, nor look at what is right, and completely cuts off all thoughts in the mind, this is called right view. Furthermore, right view is having no distinctions about all dharmas, this is called right view. Furthermore, right view is looking at what is right as it is, just as one looks at what is bad.

Knowing the meaning of view. Furthermore, right view is realizing that all wrong views are of equal nature. These Bodhisattvas, abiding in right view, are called dwelling in bliss. The Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, holding the world, abiding in right view, know right thought as it is. They think to themselves: All thoughts are inverted, so all thoughts, even thinking of Nirvana or thinking of becoming a Buddha, are wrong thoughts. Why is that? Because the complete cessation of conceptualization is called right thought. Non-conceptualization is right thought. Conceptualization is conceptualization. Why is that? Because seeing and knowing the characteristics of all thoughts, there is no wrong thought. That person will not conceptually think of this or that. Thus, abiding in right thought, one does not conceptually think of right or wrong. Thus, being free from all conceptualizations, transcending conceptualization, it is called right thought. What is called right thought is seeing and knowing that all conceptualizations are not right, not true, and arise from inversion. One does not conceptually think of all conceptualizations. Thus, abiding in right thought, one does not fixate on right or wrong thought. Being free from conceptualization, transcending conceptualization, and completely ceasing conceptualization, it is called right thought. Thus, at that time, one is not bound by all conceptualizations. Knowing and seeing the nature of all conceptualizations as equal is called abiding in right thought. The Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, holding the world, engaging in right speech, know that all words spoken are not right, not true, arise from inversion, are wrongly conceived, and arise from many causes and conditions. Therefore, they think to themselves: There is no fixation on the words themselves. When all words cease, knowing all verbal actions as they are, it is called right speech. Speech of words.
