Solitude, absence of inherent existence, formlessness, un-demonstrable, unimpeded, in order to know that it is not consciousness; if consciousness is understood in that way, that is wisdom. One relies on that wisdom and does not follow after consciousness, but also demonstrates that consciousness to others. One does not grasp at characteristics in it, and universally generates the thought that that consciousness is wisdom. One also does not become manifestly attached to consciousness or wisdom. By manifestly clinging to consciousness alone, one does not speak of the reality of wisdom. The bodhisattva, the king of transformations, who relies on wisdom, does not abide together with consciousness. He also does not teach other sentient beings a dharma that is not consciousness. King of Transformations, this is a manifestation of the bodhisattva's super-knowledge transformation; one who has obtained the divine ear will come to realize this realm of wisdom. The Bodhisattva, King of Transformations, listens to the Dharma that possesses the conventional terms of a person, and relies on the nature of Dharma, not on the person. Why is that? King of Transformations, if there were a person in this well-spoken Dharma-Vinaya, then no sentient being would ever become completely pure and liberated. King of Transformations, therefore, all dharmas are without a person, but the Tathagata spoke of a person in worldly terms. Therefore, a bodhisattva relies on the Dharma and does not rely on a person. King of Transformations, what is called Dharma is a conventional term for the realm of Dharma. King of Transformations, what is called the realm of Dharma is a conventional term for the realm of non-arising. King of Transformations, what is called non-arising is a conventional term for non-origination. King of Transformations, what is called non-origination is a conventional term for the inexpressible. Why is that? Because whatever dharma is spoken of by whatever words, that dharma does not exist in those words. Whatever does not exist is a convention, therefore it is called a conventional term.

Oṃ. All dharmas are without words, inexpressible in words. Therefore, I have no words to express. Whatever words I speak are without words, because speech is unborn and not true, therefore it is without words. Therefore, I have no words to express. Whatever words I speak are without words, because speech is unborn and not true, therefore it is without words. Why is that? Because whatever is the characteristic of speech is not the word of the Buddha, because the unspeakable is the word of the Buddha. Therefore, it is called the word of the Buddha. Whoever enters the word of the Buddha enters the wordless. If one enters into words, then one does not enter into the word of the Buddha. The King of Manifestations, wishing to enter the word of the Buddha, should not regard as words any words that speak of a person or a dharma. Why is that? Because whatever has duality is not the word of the Buddha, because the word of the Buddha is without duality. Whatever has sound is not the word of the Buddha, because the word of the Buddha is without sound. Whatever has speech is not the word of the Buddha, because the word of the Buddha is without speech. Therefore, O King of Manifestations, a Bodhisattva who enters the word of the Buddha is said to have attained clairvoyance, and with that divine ear, he perceives all sounds in accordance with the nature of reality and realizes the enlightenment of the Buddha. O King of Manifestations, like this, this divine ear is the second clairvoyance of the Bodhisattva. The Noble Sutra Requested by the King of Manifestations, Chapter Two. Furthermore, O King of Manifestations, the Bodhisattva attains the clairvoyance of knowing the minds of others, and thoroughly understands the minds of other beings and persons. Wherever he goes to teach the Dharma in any assembly, he first observes the minds of that assembly, thinking about what the thoughts, actions, causes, and characteristics of the beings are like, and after observing, he teaches the Dharma accordingly. Because his own mind is completely pure, he is able to
