Having acknowledged the monk Vajra-garbha, along with his retinue of those who subdue the Maras, he spoke thus: "I am a monk, I take refuge in you." He said to him, "Instead of taking refuge in me, you should take refuge in the Tathagata, the King of Light Rays of Immaculate Light, who has taught such a Dharma." He said to him, "Please go to that Tathagata, please come here." Then, the monk Vajra-garbha, together with those who subdue the Maras, and those eighty-four thousand Maras, went to where the Blessed One, the Tathagata, the King of Light Rays of Immaculate Light, was. He bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One, and with palms joined, he stood before him. The Tathagata, starting from abiding in discipline and associating with the noble Dharma, taught them in such a way that they would never turn back from the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. King of Transformations, if you think that the one called monk Vajra-garbha at that time was someone else, you should not think that way. Why is that? King of Transformations, you yourself became the one called monk Vajra-garbha at that time. The Bodhisattva Earth Holder became the one called Subduer of Maras at that time. King of Transformations, this is the transformation of the discipline of the Bodhisattvas. Relying on that transformation, countless distinctions of aspirations are shown to the Bodhisattvas, and countless beings are also completely ripened into enlightenment. Also, having vanquished the opposing Maras, they will quickly manifest the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and become Buddhas. King of Transformations, What is the manifestation of the supernormal cognition of the Bodhisattvas? The manifestation of supernormal cognition is fivefold, namely: the divine eye, the divine ear, and...

Knowing the playful mind, remembering past lives, and performing miracles. For that King of Transformations, what is the divine eye transformation of the bodhisattvas' clairvoyance? With the clairvoyance of the eye transformation, the bodhisattva's eye faculty is not obscured by walls, not obscured by trees, not obscured by mountains, not obscured by forests, not obscured by surroundings and great surrounding mountains, not obscured by Mount Meru, not obscured by the spaces of the world. With that unobstructed eye, one sees immeasurable and countless Buddha-fields in the ten directions, and one fully knows that all those Buddha-fields are one Buddha-field, just as there is no difference in the sky. One does not mix field with field, nor does one differentiate them. All the Buddhas, Bhagavat, who reside in those Buddha-fields, together with their assemblies of hearers, are seen, and all the Buddhas are seen in the manner of the indivisibility of the Dharma-realm, and all the Buddhas are regarded as one Buddha in the manner of the indivisibility of the Dharma-realm. By seeing one Buddha, one also purifies the seeing of all Buddhas. By seeing all Buddhas, one also purifies the seeing of one Buddha. By the complete purity of seeing the Buddha, one also enters the complete purity of seeing the self. That very complete purity also enters the complete purity of seeing all dharmas, and for the complete purity of seeing the self or the complete purity of seeing the dharmas, it does not become a dualistic consciousness. Seeing those hearers of the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, one also fully knows that it is not different from the complete purity of seeing the Buddha. Seeing the hearers, one sees the Buddha, and seeing the Buddha, one also sees the hearers, and with correct seeing, one sees equally. All sentient beings who dwell in the endless and limitless world realms, who are categorized as sentient beings, whether they are hell beings, animals, hungry ghosts, asuras, gods, or humans, except for those who dwell in the formless realms, all those

He sees all deaths and transmigrations, births, good colors and bad colors, happy destinies and unhappy destinies, bad and good, and he fully understands that the appearances of those beings are merely appearances. He also fully understands and comprehends that all those things that appear as forms are all ripened by karma. He sees beings and fully understands the ripening of karma, but with the boundary of selflessness as the limit, he does not develop the concept of beings towards beings. With that divine eye, he sees all that belongs to form, and because there is no entity, he fully understands that all those things that appear as forms are merely appearances. He also fully understands that all those things that appear as forms are not real because there is no prior limit, no birth. That unobstructed divine eye is not manifestly accomplished. Because he possesses the power of wisdom, if he wishes, he can also see forms as if they were spinning nearby. If he wishes, he can also not see them. If he wishes, even a small form will not appear before his eyes at all. Even if he dwells among hundreds of thousands of living beings, he abides in meditation, liberation, samadhi, and equipoise, and no being will appear in his sight. Why is that? Because that Bodhisattva understands the truth of selflessness. If he wishes, the Bodhisattva will also show his own body near those gods who walk in form, whose bodies are subtle, whose bodies are beautiful, whose bodies are radiant, whose bodies are invisible, whatever gods they may be. Those sons of gods also see his body, and he also sees the bodies of those gods. If he wishes, the gods can see his body, but he himself cannot see his own body. If he wishes, those sons of gods can see their own bodies, but he cannot see their bodies, he will possess such a divine eye. He becomes possessed of a divine ear, and for this, in the boundless and limitless realms of the world, however many sounds there are, whether the sound of gods, the sound of nagas, the sound of yakshas, the sound of gandharvas, the sound of asuras, the sound of garudas, the sound of kinnaras, the sound of mahoragas, the sound of humans or non-humans, all those sounds are in his divine ear.
