And not abandoning the earth, that is the emanation of his wisdom. Thoroughly knowing what is the characteristic of the aggregates, elements, and sense bases, and what is the nature, but not abandoning them, and also appearing in the three realms, but not dwelling together with afflictions, and also showing birth and cessation, but not changing into birth, and not changing into death and transference, that is the emanation of his wisdom. What is the understanding of dependent origination? Although ignorance is the cause of actions, ignorance does not think, "I produce actions." Although actions are the cause of consciousness, actions do not think, "We produce consciousness." Although consciousness is the cause of name and form, consciousness does not think, "I produce name and form." Although name and form are the cause of the six sense bases, name and form do not think, "I produce the six sense bases." Although the six sense bases are the cause of contact, the six sense bases do not think, "I produce contact." Although contact is the cause of feeling, contact does not think, "I produce feeling." Although feeling is the cause of craving, feeling does not think, "I produce craving." Although craving is the cause of grasping, craving does not think, "I produce grasping." Although grasping is the cause of existence, grasping does not think, "I produce existence." Although existence is the cause of birth, existence does not think, "I produce birth." Although birth is the cause of aging and death, birth does not think, "I produce aging and death." When the king of emanations thus individually examines dependent origination, the bodhisattva will not abide in the two views of either annihilationism or eternalism. He will think thus, all these dharmas

One thinks that it depends on causes and conditions, but even if one seeks and searches for those causes and conditions, one will not find them. Then one enters into equality with dependent origination. What kind of wisdom enters? It is equality with dependent origination and no arising. Whatever emptiness is equal to, dependent origination is also equal to that. Whatever signlessness is equal to, dependent origination is also equal to that. Whatever wishlessness is equal to, dependent origination is also equal to that. By what equality did the Thus-Gone One fully awaken to all dharmas, that is equal to dependent origination. Whatever dependent origination is equal to, in that there is no self-arising, no sentient being arising, no life arising, no person arising, and no dharma arising. Therefore, it is called dependent origination. Dependent origination should be seen as no arising. Whoever knows no arising, that is knowing dependent origination. However, ignorance and knowledge, those two are non-dual and indivisible. Whoever knows that, that is knowing dependent origination. Formation and non-formation, those are non-dual and indivisible. Whoever knows that, that is knowing dependent origination. Consciousness and non-consciousness, that is non-dual and indivisible. Whoever knows that, that is knowing dependent origination. Name and form, and no name and form, that is non-dual and indivisible. Whoever knows that, that is knowing dependent origination. The six sense sources and no six sense sources, that is non-dual and indivisible. Whoever knows that, that is knowing dependent origination. Contact and no contact, that is non-dual and indivisible. Whoever knows that, that is knowing dependent origination. Feeling and no feeling, that is non-dual and indivisible. Whoever knows that, that is knowing dependent origination. Craving and no craving, that is non-dual

And the two are inseparable; whoever knows it knows dependent arising. Grasping and not grasping are non-dual and inseparable; whoever knows it knows dependent arising. Existence and non-entry into the womb are non-dual and inseparable; whoever knows it knows dependent arising. Birth and non-birth are non-dual and inseparable; whoever knows it knows dependent arising. Aging and death and dreams are non-dual and inseparable; whoever knows it knows dependent arising. Whatever is relied upon is impermanent. Whatever is relied upon is without essence. Whatever is relied upon is impermanent. Whatever is relied upon is empty. Whatever is relied upon has no going, no coming. Whatever is relied upon is unborn. Whatever is relied upon has no grasping. Whatever is relied upon has no entering. Whoever knows it knows dependent arising. Whoever sees dependent arising does not see ignorance. Does not see formations. Does not see consciousness. Does not see name and form. Does not see the six sense sources. Does not see contact. Does not see feeling. Does not see craving. Does not see grasping. Does not see existence. Does not see birth. Does not see aging and death. Thus, whoever truly sees all phenomena sees dependent arising. Whoever sees dependent arising sees the Dharma. What Dharma is seen? The Dharma of detachment is seen. Why is it called detachment? Thus, from that, one sees the abandonment of attachment to all phenomena, therefore it is called seeing the Dharma of detachment. In no way does one add or subtract, thus one sees. In no way does one waver or cling, thus one sees. In no way does the realm of Dharma change, thus one sees. In no way does one see the true limit without fault, thus one sees. In no way does one see seeing without seeing, thus one sees. In no way is it seen by the eye of flesh.
