Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, when Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas analyze all dharmas and find them unattainable, then, son of the gods, those Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas are fearless in the assembly. Son of the gods asked: Manjushri, how are Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas those who rely on meaning through hearing? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, when Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas know that all dharmas are inexpressible, then, son of the gods, those Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas are those who rely on meaning through hearing. Son of the gods asked: Manjushri, how are Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas those who rely on dharma through the ways of the world? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, when Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas know that the essence of dharma is peaceful, then, son of the gods, those Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas are those who rely on dharma through the ways of the world. Son of the gods asked: Manjushri, how are Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas those who speak according to what the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, have said? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, when Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas do not rely on all sounds, then, son of the gods, those Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas are those who speak according to what the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, have said. Son of the gods asked: Manjushri, how are Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas those who speak dharma to sentient beings? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, when Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas turn away from all speech, then, son of the gods, those Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas are those who speak dharma to sentient beings.
