Those who have become teachers in all great heroic deeds. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how can a Bodhisattva Mahasattva be without fault in all respects and possess all qualities? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, when Bodhisattva Mahasattvas realize that all dharmas have no antidote, and do not cultivate any dharma, and do not abandon any dharma, then, son of the gods, such Bodhisattva Mahasattvas are without fault in all respects and possess all qualities. When Manjushri Kumara expounded this teaching, fifty-eight thousand Bodhisattvas attained forbearance in the prophecy of non-arising dharmas. Seventy-two thousand beings of gods and humans obtained the pure Dharma Eye, free from dust and defilement, in all dharmas. About a hundred thousand or more beings generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. In order to make offerings to Manjushri Kumara, the gods also manifestly rained down showers of divine flowers from the sky above. All the complete retinues, having heard this teaching expounded by Manjushri Kumara, generated joy, delight, and contentment, and said: May we also obtain these dharmas. May we also obtain such unimpeded eloquence as that of Manjushri Kumara. The Blessed One also said to Manjushri Kumara: Manjushri, you have well spoken this teaching, which expounds the thorough determination of dharmas, well done, well done! The Second Chapter. Then, the son of the gods, Supreme Intellect, said this to Manjushri Kumara: Manjushri, do you wish to obtain the covering of the Dharma from me? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, your saying, "Do you wish to obtain the covering of the Dharma?" is, son of the gods, for this well-spoken Dharma and Discipline, the so-called covering of the Dharma is the abandonment of craving and desire. Because this Dharma is without distinction, it is without desire. This Dharma has completely transcended the path of eye consciousness.

Therefore, it is not visible. This dharma, because it has no manifest accomplishment, is unmade. This dharma, because it is unmixed with the six objects, is unseen. This dharma, because it is free from mind, intellect, and consciousness, is without self. This dharma, because it is not completely established, is without grasping. This dharma, because it goes to the realm without objects, is without basis. This dharma, because it is empty by nature, is without defilements. This dharma, because the former limit is completely pure, is without coming. This dharma, because the latter limit is completely pure, is without going. This dharma, because the present arising is completely pure, is without abiding. This dharma, because it is free from examination and selection, is without effort. This dharma, because it is equal to space, is without equality. This dharma, because it has no antidote, is without inequality and equality. This dharma, because it has completely transcended all the realms of Mara, is unmoving, without pride, unexamined, without discrimination, unaccomplished, and unshown. This dharma, because it is free from birth and death, is without taking and abandoning. This dharma, because it completely inclines towards the realm of dharma, abides without abiding. This dharma, because it has not truly arisen, is without difference. This dharma, because it is free from elaboration, is without practice. This dharma, because it is naturally pacified, is free from elaboration. This dharma, because it is free from all discriminations, is pacified. is the support. This Dharma is non-reliant, therefore it is unwavering. This Dharma is primordially pure, therefore it is without self. This Dharma is without constant manifestation of accomplishment, therefore it is without sentient beings. This Dharma is primordially unborn, therefore it is impermanent. This Dharma is primordially uncreated, therefore it does not arise. This Dharma is devoid of characteristics, therefore it is unborn. This Dharma is devoid of all characteristics, therefore it is without characteristics. This Dharma is primordially truly ceased, therefore it is peaceful. This Dharma is primordially pacified, therefore there is no true cessation. This Dharma is indivisible and invisible, therefore it is like the nature of space. Son of the gods, such a Dharma has such a covering of Dharma. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, the covering of this Dharma is without universal diffusion. Manjushri said: Son of the gods, well done, well done! Just as you said, the covering of this Dharma is such that there is no coarseness of body, speech, and mind. Why is that? This Dharma is clear and without defilement, therefore a defiled mind cannot offer to it. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how is the mind defiled? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, the mind that remembers the Buddha by remembering the characteristics of form is a defiled mind. The mind that remembers the Dharma through the path of sound, language, melody, and words is a defiled mind. The mind that manifests the attainment of fruit and remembers the Sangha is a defiled mind. The mind that remembers the abandonment of afflictions is a defiled mind. The mind that remembers the gods by relying on birth is a defiled mind. The untamed mind of generosity is a defiled mind. The unpacified mind of discipline is a defiled mind. The mind of patience that relies on sentient beings is a defiled mind. The mind of wisdom that is accompanied by elaboration is a defiled mind. The clinging to self
