With such offerings, the son of the gods, the Bodhisattva, is called Bhagavan. The son of the gods asked: Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva a perfectly complete Buddha? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, when a Bodhisattva is equal to whatever is without interval (hell), and enlightenment is also equal to it, thereby realizing perfect enlightenment in equality; and equal to all aspects of views, inversions, obscurations, determinations, and all arising, and enlightenment is also equal to it, thereby realizing perfect enlightenment in equality; and equal to desire, hatred, and ignorance, and equal to all afflictions, and enlightenment is also equal to it, thereby realizing perfect enlightenment in equality; and equal to the dharmas of ordinary beings, the dharmas of learners, the dharmas of Shravakas, the dharmas of Pratyekabuddhas, and the dharmas of Bodhisattvas, and enlightenment is also equal to it, thereby realizing perfect enlightenment in equality; and not disturbing equality, and contemplating the three doors of liberation as equality by equality, and because all dharmas are pure from the beginning, relying on conditions, and arising from the non-existent conceptualization, thereby realizing perfect enlightenment in equality with space, then, son of the gods, the Bodhisattva is a perfectly complete Buddha. Son of the gods asked: Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva a teacher? Manjushri replied: Son of the gods, when a Bodhisattva teaches, well teaches, and accordingly teaches any being, all of these transform into the immutable nature of dharma, and are able to fully receive the teachings, and teach and well teach in the three-thousand great thousand world realms, becoming the sole teacher, becoming the refuge, island, and friend of all sentient beings, all characteristics are pacified, extremely pacified, and nearly pacified, free from doubt, skilled in cutting off the doubts of all sentient beings, like Indra and

The earth deity and the world protectors pay homage, as do the truthful speakers and the three realms. The mind is equal to the sky and without fullness. Because of seeing the true edge well, they are not deterred by all slander, beatings, laughter, belittling, anger, sadness, threats, and all arrogance. Because of seeing the nature of beings well, they benefit all beings and are loving. They become known as teachers in the world. Thus, O son of the gods, a Bodhisattva is a teacher. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva a follower of the ways of ordinary beings? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, when a Bodhisattva shows all the actions of ordinary beings through skillful means, but with wisdom does not cling to all the actions of ordinary beings, thus, O son of the gods, a Bodhisattva is a follower of the ways of ordinary beings. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva a follower of the ways of desire? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, when a Bodhisattva always clings to the teachings of the Buddhas, always clings to the body of the Buddhas, always clings to dwelling in solitude in order to practice meditation, samadhi, and attainments, always clings to gathering beings with the four means of gathering, and has no hatred towards all beings, thus, O son of the gods, a Bodhisattva is a follower of the ways of desire. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva a follower of the ways of hatred? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, when a Bodhisattva sees only faults in conditioned things, and hates the vehicle of the Hearers and Solitary Buddhas, and also perceives faults in all afflictions and all actions, but does not abandon afflictions and actions, and does not cease effort in order to fully ripen beings, and with great compassion

I, with a pure mind, truly generate great loving-kindness, and in order to fully ripen sentient beings, I liberate them from the mire of afflictions, and for those sentient beings who are filled with hatred, I closely cultivate patience, and inflict punishment upon afflictions, and I despise all methods of death and transmigration, in that case, son of the gods, a Bodhisattva is of the nature of hatred. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva of the nature of delusion? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, delusion means not knowing anything at all, therefore, when a Bodhisattva abides in the essence of Dharma, he does not know, does not distinguish, does not fully know, does not take, does not abandon, does not arise, does not perish, does not waver, does not become arrogant, does not move, and abides in the cessation of the nature of Dharma, in that case, son of the gods, a Bodhisattva is of the nature of delusion. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva of the nature of samsara? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, when a Bodhisattva is not moved by samsara, and also seeks the Dharmas of the Buddhas from it, and is not in common with all the Maras and inferior conduct, and is not mixed with them, and separates sentient beings from inferior conduct and establishes them in great conduct, and makes it meaningful, and speaks of all non-virtue as not worthy of praise, and stops and repels desire, and knows that Bodhi is inclined towards samsara, and views the equality of the Buddhas with the equality of samsara, and is not moved by samsara and does not abide in it, in that case, son of the gods, a Bodhisattva is of the nature of samsara. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how is a Bodhisattva of the nature of complete nirvana? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, when a Bodhisattva sees all sentient beings as naturally completely in nirvana, and the Dharma
