Son of the gods, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva, by not abandoning, practices the perfection of generosity; by completely transcending discipline, practices the perfection of discipline; with harmful thoughts, practices the perfection of patience; with laziness, practices the perfection of diligence; with forgetfulness, practices the perfection of meditation; and with dullness and sheep-like stupidity, practices the perfection of wisdom, then, and only then, does the Bodhisattva abide on the path. The son of the gods said: Mañjuśrī, based on what thought do you speak these words? Mañjuśrī said: Son of the gods, these four are what Bodhisattvas do not abandon. What are the four? They are: not abandoning sentient beings, not abandoning the Dharma, not abandoning the mind of enlightenment, and not abandoning all virtuous qualities. Because Bodhisattvas do not abandon these four dharmas, they practice the perfection of generosity. Son of the gods, the term 'completely transcending discipline' is a mere expression that is not its true nature. Rather, by completely transcending discipline, one attains concentration; by completely transcending concentration, one attains wisdom; and by completely transcending wisdom, one attains the knowledge of liberation. Son of the gods, you should understand in this way that whoever completely transcends discipline is one who practices the perfection of discipline. Son of the gods, if a Bodhisattva engages in harmful thoughts, it is a turning away from the vehicle of the Hearers and a turning away from the vehicle of the Solitary Buddhas. Therefore, he is one who has well entered the Great Vehicle. Whoever has well entered the Great Vehicle is one who practices the perfection of patience. Son of the gods, when a Bodhisattva does not engage in physical laziness, nor in verbal or mental laziness, then he is lazy. Whoever thus diligently applies himself to the Dharma is one who practices the perfection of diligence. Son of the gods, furthermore, a Bodhisattva

Even in dreams, one does not generate a mind of attachment to these two grounds, that is non-forgetfulness. If one does not forget the vehicle of the Hearers and Solitary Realizers, then one is established in the Great Vehicle, and that is accomplishing the perfection of meditation. Son of the gods, all dharmas are inanimate, like grass, trees, walls, roads, the blind, and sheep, being dull, and by nature without power. When a Bodhisattva, with wisdom and knowledge, thus accomplishes enlightenment with all dharmas being inanimate and like dull sheep, that is accomplishing the perfection of wisdom. A Bodhisattva who has entered in this way is accomplishing the path. Son of the gods, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva neither abandons the path of samsara nor seeks the path of nirvana, and also does not cut off the continuity of the actions of the path, and also accomplishes the activities of the path, and also establishes beings who have entered the wrong path on the path, in that way, the Bodhisattva abides on the path. Son of the gods, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva seeks all beings and all dharmas but does not find them, and does not abandon the path of enlightenment, and meditates on having fruit, in that way, the Bodhisattva obtains the path of enlightenment. Son of the gods, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva also fully knows the path of the Hearers, and also does not definitely depart by the path of the Hearers, and also fully knows the path of the Solitary Realizers, and also does not definitely depart by the path of the Solitary Realizers, and also obtains the path of the Bodhisattvas, but also does not definitely depart by that path without the faculties being fully complete, in that way, the Bodhisattva abides on the path. Son of the gods, furthermore, when a Bodhisattva manifestly accumulates all roots of virtue, and does not seek the fruit of manifest accumulation, and is not defiled by the faults of manifest accumulation, and completely dedicates all roots of virtue that are to be manifestly accumulated to enlightenment, and truly rejoices in the increase for the sake of enlightenment,

If one does not truly see and write accordingly, then the Bodhisattva abides on the path. Son of the gods, furthermore, at what time does a Bodhisattva seek the right path from the evil path, and even having sought the right path, does not necessarily become liberated from it, then the Bodhisattva abides on the path. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, how does a Bodhisattva seek the right path from the evil path? Manjushri said: Son of the gods, the so-called evil path is samsara. The Bodhisattva abides therein, seeking the path entirely for the sake of the liberation of sentient beings, but not for the sake of his own liberation. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, the conduct of a Bodhisattva is not in accordance with all the world. Manjushri said: Son of the gods, thus, Bodhisattvas, although they act in the world, are not stained by the things of the world; although they show the absence of afflictions, they do not fall into the state of being without afflictions; although they show aging and death, they know that all dharmas are without birth and without arising; they do not manifest being without fault, and although they fully utilize the skandhas, the ayatanas, and the dhatus, they do not seek the meaning of the skandhas, the ayatanas, and the dhatus; for the sake of the skandhas, the ayatanas, and the dhatus being fully known, even though they teach the Dharma to sentient beings, they do not cause those things that are fully known to be fully known; although they practice meditation, liberation, samadhi, samapatti, and abhijna, and cause those whose minds are distracted to be settled, they do not tend towards settling; although they show nearness to the realm of Mara, they are not robbed by the works of Mara, they do not abandon the realm of the Buddha, they do not follow the realm of Mara, and they do not turn away from the realm of the sphere of Dharma; because they take near the realm of the realm of sentient beings, therefore, the conduct of those great-minded beings is not in accordance with all the world. The son of the gods said: Manjushri, you to the Bodhisattvas
