One does not speak of others with truth. A monk who desires to attain supreme enlightenment should eliminate his own faults. Those who practice should abandon all things, internal and external. Those who desire my supreme enlightenment, why do they generate joy for others? In the future, in my teachings, many unruly ones will also denigrate enlightenment. They will go to great ravines and precipices. With a deteriorated mind, what use is enlightenment? Whoever desires my supreme enlightenment, having abandoned pride like abandoning a bad child, having generated a mind of loving-kindness for all sentient beings, one should not be displeased with what is obtained or not obtained. Great King, in any other place where there is no respect, no faith, hatred for others, and looking for faults, the Tathagatas and the Shravakas of the Tathagatas will not be pleased to dwell there for long, but will quickly depart. Great King, these sixteen dharmas are the manifestation of an unfaithful person. What are the sixteen? Namely: causing discord, considering sinful teachings to be reasonable, considering the words of the Dharma to be unreasonable, having sinful thoughts, being arrogant, looking for faults, being deceitful, having an impure livelihood, desiring respect, having an unwholesome mind-stream, being without diligence, slandering others, being invariably critical, being uncertain about the teachings, holding wrong views, and doubting the ripening of karma. Great King, these sixteen dharmas are the manifestation of an unfaithful person. Then, at that time, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: Not accepting teachings that are in accordance, one should completely abandon them like an old well. Those who do not accord with liberation and go to other paths are no different from heretics with hateful minds. Not believing in the ripening of karma, not believing, one will not choose others. Holding oneself as high as Mount Meru, those intoxicated with pride will act in this way. When the well-spoken Dharma is taught, those with sinful conduct will consider it unreasonable. Having created doubt in the Dharma without faith, one will go mad for many hundreds of thousands of kalpas.

Transforms. The thoughts of the unfaithful become sinful. No matter whose heart it is, it will not protect hatred. After completely abandoning everything of value, because of disbelief, one grasps at the dregs. Arrogant and always conceited, the unfaithful do not submit to others. After death, they will be reborn into a low caste. They will become poor, and will resent others. The unfaithful person will not become their own island. They seek disputes and seize upon the faults of others. Like the castor oil plant in the forest, they are neither householders nor monks. Impure, acting hypocritically, with a deceitful heart, they will not enter anyone's teachings. Even if they trust others, they will resent them. Even if they are offered sustenance for an eon, they will not become friends. Their lives are also impure. Those who are unfaithful and ordained as monks, because they have abandoned many paths to liberation, they will soon fall. In order to receive the respect of the unfaithful, they will tell others untrue teachings. Acting deceitfully, hiding their own nature, they are flatterers and sycophants. Their minds are always greedy. Even if they hear others speaking, they will think: "These words are spoken for me." The unfaithful will eat leftovers. After speaking the words of others, they see themselves as impure, and they see others the same way. The unfaithful are like frightened wild animals, they do not trust anyone, nor do they trust their own hearts. Their actions decline, and they do not protect the hearts of others, in the assembly, they will also become discouraged. They threaten with gestures and quarrel. They also punish those who come, and accuse and argue without reason. Having the nature of slander, with many sins, those who are discordant, quarrelsome, and hateful, these are the characteristics of the unfaithful. Those who are unfaithful and ordained, they will also defame the teachings of the guide. Those who make the sangha beautiful with harmony, they violate it with words that do not conform to the Dharma. For the teachings of the Buddhas, like heretics, they have doubts and hesitations. Therefore, they find fault with the Dharma and violate it, the unfaithful also abandon the Dharma. They do not abandon their wrong views, and outsiders slander them from within. They will
