To make the Dharma flourish and to fully ripen many beings, these are the ten qualities. The great king, endowed with these five qualities, the king who is crowned from the crown of his head, will obtain these qualities as mentioned above. Then, the Bodhisattva Meaningful to See spoke this verse at that time: The king, towards the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha, always has increasing and unwavering intention, with inseparable faith and joy, for him, these qualities are not rare. Recognizing that it is not false, faith arises, for him, no matter what things there are, there is no stinginess. Even after giving, he has no regrets. Here, these qualities are the characteristics of faith. Their thoughts are always without turbidity, like the immovable Mount Sumeru, like a full vase well placed and unmoving, their faith is extremely unwavering. For what is seen and unseen, heard and unheard, those who are unmoving like a mountain, they are like the characteristics of faith, in all places, never changing. Whoever desires the Dharma for the sake of peace, that wise person should abandon all worldly affairs. After abandoning them, he does not think about them, these are the characteristics of those who desire the Dharma. Which lord of beings desires the Dharma, when he does not listen to what is well said, just as planting rotten seeds in barren land, he will not grow in the teachings of the guide. Even if he hears, he thinks, "I am skilled in this," thinking, "I can understand the nature of all dharmas," with increasing intention, he engages in impure conduct, with two minds, how can he obtain purity? Those who desire the Dharma, with the wisdom of mindfulness, respectful, unwavering, not dull like a sheep, not flowing like the great ocean, such people are vessels for supreme Bodhi. Those who desire the Dharma have no attachment to all things, internal and external. He cherishes those who are wise and is despised by fools. By this, one should know who desires the Dharma. Therefore, King, you who desire the Dharma, after hearing this, with pure practice, do not dwell on merely speaking and hearing. Without a firm intention, there is no wisdom. Whoever has faith in profound patience has no attachment to what is pleasing and unpleasing. They are like the wind, without attachment, and can also practice in countless hundreds of thousands of eons.

Translation. King, if you desire Bodhi, purify your mind with superior intention. With the arrogance of thinking 'I' and 'mine,' do not dwell here perversely. You should always confess your faults, and abide in the appropriate discipline. Contemplate the impermanence of power and relatives; this without reliance is truly emptiness. Although many teachings on emptiness are spoken, one does not abide in emptiness as it is. Whoever contradicts the nature of Dharma, he cannot tolerate the profound truth. Therefore, this emptiness is completely contradictory; whoever knows emptiness as it is, he, like the king of swans abandoning mud, is liberated from the desire realm and attains supreme Bodhi. Having revered the Tathagata, King, you should examine the teachings. King, because the body is easily destroyed, do not have doubts about the Bodhi vehicle. Understand the conduct and rituals of the Teacher's scriptures, and always protect those wise ones. Do not just listen to words, like a patient with a long illness. Whoever examines this teaching well, he will strive to protect the meaning of the lineage. Having abandoned various karmas and afflictions, he will especially transform into supreme Bodhi. Study well these six perfections; if you study them, you will attain Bodhi. Accomplish this teaching as much as possible, and you will soon attain all-knowing wisdom of all Dharmas. Just as a bee is not attached to flower nectar, just as there are no bird tracks in the sky, whoever's mind is like that towards all phenomena, such a king will become a Buddha. Having obtained profound patience and fearlessness here, whoever is the holder of the treasury of the Buddhas, you should protect them according to Dharma, and do not abandon such wise ones for the sake of life. Do not harm those wise ones; for those who are not endowed with Dharma but are diligent, you should always punish them with penalties. This kind of Dharma practice will quickly decline. Because the protector of the world will not appear, those wise ones will become the teachers of the world, and light the lamp of Dharma for the benefit of sentient beings. Therefore, always strive for their cause. Many hundreds of thousands of Bodhisattvas, from the depths of their hearts
