There is not. Whatever does not arise or cease, there is no clinging to it, no fighting, no arguing, no teaching, and no profound expression. Whatever is inexpressible, there is no collection of the excellent Dharma. Therefore, there is no collection, and not completely holding is called the excellent Dharma. Then, the son of the Dragon King Anavatapta, named Ashoka, said to the Bhagavan: "Bhagavan, I am proud to completely hold the excellent Dharma." The Bhagavan said: "Ashoka, you should be proud." He replied: "Bhagavan, for example, in the great ocean, there are no jewels that belong to me, no complete holding, no complete grasping. Those that exist, although they do not need to be protected, however, Bhagavan, those captains and great captains, without regard for body and life, enter the great ocean to seek those great jewels. Those who have not reached Jambudvipa will not drift in the middle of the ocean, but will be very carefully guarded. Those who enter the ocean, coming and going, perform great protection. In this way, when those jewels reach Jambudvipa, many people will be able to survive. Bhagavan, similarly, the Dharma of perfect complete enlightenment attained by the Tathagata is not extremely obviously accomplished, but no world with gods can completely grasp it. However, Bhagavan, those Bodhisattva Mahasattvas, in order to attain such a precious Dharma, that is, the Tathagata's true perfect complete enlightenment, seek armor, those should be very carefully guarded. If those excellent men are completely held, then they will surely appear in this Mahayana. If they appear, then the wheel of Dharma will turn, and the excellent Dharma will completely flourish. Bhagavan, therefore, all those who correctly enter the Mahayana, the speakers of Dharma, should completely hold, protect, save, hide, respectfully serve, and rely on the Guru."

It is to perfectly uphold the sacred Dharma. Then, the Blessed One said to the dragon king Anavatapta's son, Ashoka, "Well done, well done! Ashoka, well done! Whoever upholds and protects those who have rightly entered the Great Vehicle as preachers of the Dharma, this is upholding the sacred Dharma. Upholding the preachers of the Dharma is indeed upholding the sacred Dharma." However, Ashoka, there are ten ways to uphold the sacred Dharma. What are the ten? They are: without arrogance, without excessive pride, without deceit, diligently seeking the meaning of the Dharma, desiring the Dharma, extensively searching for the Dharma, individually contemplating the Dharma, teaching the Dharma, being diligent in the Dharma, abiding in the practice of the Dharma, and being liberated through faith and understanding. These ten are the upholding of the sacred Dharma. Furthermore, there are ten ways to uphold the sacred Dharma. What are the ten? Ashoka, if a son or daughter of good family hears that there is a preacher of the Dharma, they prostrate in that direction, rejoice to see them, make them happy when they come, spread out a seat, offer clothes and food, constantly protect them, respectfully serve them, listen to what they say, and also proclaim it to others as they have heard it, prevent their bad reputation, and praise their virtues. Ashoka, these ten are the upholding of the sacred Dharma. Ashoka, in addition, these four kinds of giving will also become the upholding of the sacred Dharma. What are the four? They are: giving paper, ink, pens, and scriptures, and giving clothes, food, bedding, medicine for the sick, and provisions to the preachers of the Dharma, and after hearing the Dharma, giving praise to the preachers of the Dharma without deceit, and the fourth is giving the Dharma. These four kinds of giving will become the upholding of the sacred Dharma. Ashoka, these four kinds of diligence will also become the upholding of the sacred Dharma. What are the four?

The diligence to subdue sentient beings who abandon the Dharma with actions contrary to the Dharma, and the four diligences such as the diligence of no sorrow, will ensure the complete upholding of the sacred Dharma. Then, the Blessed One, having prophesied in response to the request, the five hundred young nagas were satisfied, delighted, and rejoiced. In order to serve the Blessed One and practice universally, they offered their relatives and themselves, and said: From now until complete nirvana, we will always and constantly attend upon the Blessed One, and we will gladly protect and conceal such sacred Dharma universally. Blessed One, after the Tathagata has passed into complete nirvana, we will make offerings to the undivided and unified body, and build stupas of the seven precious substances. Then, the venerable Mahakashyapa said to those young nagas: The Tathagata is very compassionate to all sentient beings, and if he blesses even a mustard seed-sized relic, sons of good family, you should make offerings to the undivided and unified body of the Tathagata. Such words are intended to obstruct the virtuous Dharma of many ordinary people. Then, those five hundred young nagas said to the venerable Mahakashyapa: Venerable Kashyapa, please do not speak like that. Do not compare your own wisdom with the wisdom and knowledge of the Tathagata. The Tathagata is omniscient, all-seeing, and possesses the power of blessing and the wisdom of miraculous transformation. If he wishes to bless the undivided and unified body in all the abodes of gods, nagas, and yakshas in the three thousand great thousand world realms, then all of them will also know that we are making offerings to the Tathagata, and not to others. Venerable Mahakashyapa, at the time when the Tathagata passes into complete nirvana, he will also bless the relics with the faith of all sentient beings. Venerable
