Without arrogance, living purely with contentment, entering correctly with wisdom, thereby completely seeking the root of the aggregate of wisdom, perfectly accumulating the seven treasures, the faculties proceeding before strength, perceiving wrong views as faults, correctly practicing right views, holding in accordance with the subsequent teachings, easy to heal and easy to satisfy, making a dwelling with a non-objective mind, approaching, having a mind weary of samsara, viewing nirvana as virtue and benefit, diligently seeking the holy Dharma completely, having a mind of renunciation towards the teachings of the Thus-Gone One, not being content with dwelling in pure conduct, certainly giving by making others follow, repaying kindness, knowing kindness, not expecting reward for what has been done, not being arrogant because of one's own gain, not being jealous of others' gains, patience, taming, viewing faults as offenses, not proclaiming the fallen that have occurred, guarding the doors of the senses, abandoning and giving away bedding, constantly remembering and not separating from tending towards solitary places, with a non-grasping mind towards the Dharma that truly brings joy, without contention, completely abandoning even arrogance from pride, observing one's own faults, tolerating the faults of others, completely seeking the aggregate of morality, practicing the aggregate of samadhi, striving for the aggregate of the path, this is called worldly faith with good qualities. O you with good qualities, what is the arising of worldly faith? It is the arising of the Buddha. Then, what is transcendental faith? With what faith does one believe that all dharmas are empty, separated from all views, believe that all dharmas are without characteristics and without aspirations, all dharmas are unconditioned, believe in turning back from coming and going, believe that all dharmas are separated from body, speech, and mind and are free from desire, free from self, sentient beings, life, person, and desire.

And, to have faith that all dharmas abide in Suchness. To accumulate all dharmas in an incalculable manner, like being tied to the sky, and like deceiving a child, to have faith that it is like a husk. To have faith that all dharmas have no self-nature at the prior and subsequent limits, and abide in the unreal edge. To have faith that all dharmas are like the edge of the sky, truly gather in the realm of dharma, utterly transcend the three times, and are without outflows. To have faith that all dharmas are free from attachment to desire and ignorance, without near afflictions, are completely pure by nature, and are naturally luminous. To have faith that all dharmas do not depend on the arising of sudden afflictions, all actions of proliferation are truly cut off, and are in a state of abandonment, non-attachment, freedom from anger, and without taking. To have faith that all dharmas are without mental fabrication and abandonment. To have faith that all dharmas do not abide in existence and non-existence, are nothing at all, and have no power whatsoever. To have faith that all dharmas are like the sky, are separate from all things, and have no abiding. In a way that is without wavering and bias, to have faith that all dharmas are like a collection of water and wood, without essence. To have faith that all dharmas are like the unconditioned, are the same as Nirvana, and are naturally peaceful. This is called the transcendent faith of the Beautiful Sign. Beautiful Sign, whatever arises as transcendent faith, that is called the arising of the Buddha. Beautiful Sign, what is called the arising of the Buddha, that refers to the non-arising of all dharmas. Beautiful Sign, what is called the non-arising of all dharmas, that is the supreme word of equality. Why is that? Because the arising of form is not the arising of the Buddha. The arising of the Buddha is also not distinguished by the non-arising of form. The arising of feeling, perception, formations, and consciousness is not the arising of the Buddha. The arising of the Buddha is also not distinguished by the non-arising of consciousness.
