At that time, the Bhagavan spoke these verses: Those wise Bodhisattvas, Who desire to attain the enlightenment of the Buddha, They should completely abandon careless conduct, And always strive diligently in mindfulness. One should cherish the Dharma by relying on the wise, But should not dwell on extreme views, For there is no Dharma without cause and condition. Dharma is with cause and condition, understand well. Whatever arises from conditions is unborn. For it has no inherent nature of arising. Whatever depends on conditions is said to be empty. Whoever understands emptiness is mindful. Whatever comes from conditions is without characteristics. Endowed with aspiration, peaceful and near to peace. Like an unmoving rock, grass, and trees, There is no realm of Mara there. Whoever understands this Dharma of conditions, He will not generate "I" and "mine" here. He knows that it is not "I" and not "mine," Whoever understands thus is mindful. Without a lord, without grasping, Without anything to grasp, and nothing to be liberated. Without bondage, without liberation, naturally luminous, Always knowing the Dharmas is mindful. Rely on the meaning, do not delight in words, Always the realm of wisdom, liberated from discriminating consciousness. Knowing the principles of definitive meaning Sutras, He relies on the Dharma, not on the person. In this Buddha's teaching, the meaning is the meaning of emptiness, Likewise, without characteristics and liberated from aspirations. Not dwelling in the three realms, conceptualizations, and views, What is the meaning of the Sutras? That is mindfulness. Because sound and speech cannot express it, Therefore, do not differentiate between Dharma and non-Dharma. There is also no establisher of Dharmas, This meaning of no-self is mindfulness. Do not seek the meaning of Dharma, nor seek the meaning of afflictions, Do not seek the eye and form, nor the ear and sound, Do not seek the nose and smell, nor the tongue and taste, Body and touch are not sought, mind and Dharma are not sought. Do not seek the arising and abiding of form, Not feeling, not perception, not volition, Nor seek the abiding place of consciousness, Such is called seeking the meaning of Dharma. Nor seek the existence of the three realms, Do not seek self and sentient beings, without deluded views, Never seek the form body, Not eye consciousness, nor seek mind, Do not seek the Sangha, nor the Dharma

Not seeking gain or offerings, never seeking benefit from generosity, Not for oneself are morality, patience, diligence, or meditation. Not seeking the distinct wisdom of self, Not seeking all dharmas for personal gain, That one is constantly seeking the Dharma, as declared by the Victorious Ones. Whenever one does not seek any benefits, That one is mindful in this teaching of the Buddha. Knowing the unborn is the wisdom of the Buddha, What is unborn? That is not arising. Where there is no arising, there is also no cessation, One who knows thus is a practitioner of the path. The five aggregates are known as illusory, Just as the realm of Dharma is known, so are all dharmas known. The inner city is thoroughly known as empty, One who knows thus is a mindful person. Knowing the non-distinction and distinction of dharmas, Likewise, knowing the faculties of sentient beings. Establishing mindfulness closely, not letting thoughts wander, Such a wise and powerful one is a mindful person. Truly abandoning, well knowing the two, That one is well knowing the power of miraculous mind. In strength, there is no conqueror, Knowing the order of the faculties, Enlightenment factors, meditation, comprehending in the heart. The wise manifest the unconditioned Dharma, In tranquility, the mind is well known to be peaceful, With insight, the distinctions of all dharmas are understood. All dharmas do not arise from the previous edge, Nor is there any transfer to the later edge. Likewise, all dharmas do not abide in the middle either, One who knows thus is a mindful person. The body has no essence, like a reflection, Speech is also empty, like an echo in the mountains. The mind is also like an illusion, like the wind, One who knows thus is a mindful person. Well knowing the meaning of definitive sutras, Comprehending and realizing the nature of dependent arising, Ignorance and the cessation of birth and death, etc., One who knows the true meaning is a mindful person. The gate of liberation and the three times, The three trainings and the absence of signs, No self, no sentient being, no life, no person. Dharma and non-dharma are shown to be like a raft. The attainment of the unborn and the unchanging arising, Transcending the world, faculties, wisdom, meditation. In this, thoughts do not arise even slightly, One who understands its nature is a mindful person. Whether the Buddha appears or passes into nirvana, That realm of Dharma is eternally abiding. The wise are those who always see the true meaning.
