Abandoning the path of transcendence, and the secret words of worldly renunciation, holding all the sutras that are fully endowed with the vehicles of hearers and solitary realizers. These two are the deeds of demons, and the Bodhisattva should completely abandon them. Furthermore, there are two. Which two? Wisdom without means, and means without wisdom, these two. Among them, wisdom without means is like this: not looking at all sentient beings, but contemplating unconditioned dharmas. Means without wisdom is like this: falling into the four objects of gathering that are viewed as objects. These two are the deeds of demons, and the Bodhisattva should completely abandon them. Furthermore, there are two deeds of demons. Which two? Obtaining meditation with little hearing, and praising oneself even with much hearing.

I cannot be subdued even by a hundred million hosts of demons. Generating the power of dharani means hearing what all the Buddhas have said, retaining all of it, not forgetting it, and also teaching it to others. Generating the power of eloquence means that one's definite words are not obstructed by other words, are uninterrupted, without attachment, and are spoken for hundreds of thousands of eons. Generating the power of form means that when Indra, Brahma, and others come near that Bodhisattva, they become bewildered. Generating the power of resources means having a jewel in hand and inexhaustible resources. Generating the power of body means not being harmed by all the harms of others. Generating the power of mind means fully knowing the conduct of the minds of all sentient beings with a single mind. Generating the power of magical abilities means teaching the Dharma to sentient beings who are to be tamed by magical abilities, with all kinds of magical abilities and miracles. Generating the power of teaching the Dharma means this: by teaching the Dharma appropriately, those who understand the Dharma taught by the Bodhisattva will definitely strive to end suffering. Generating the power of subduing the Maras means this: by not abandoning the practice of the Buddhadharma, one has unparalleled power. Generating the power of diligence means this: acting according to what has been said. These are the sixteen powers that are fully attained. Dragon King, thus, any Bodhisattva who wishes to attain these sixteen powers should always be mindful. Dragon King, for example, all waters flow into the great ocean. Dragon King, similarly, all the Buddhadharmas are perfectly gathered in mindfulness. Dragon King, for example, all seeds grow on the earth. Dragon King, similarly, all virtuous dharmas grow in mindfulness. Dragon King, for example, all beings rejoice in the Chakravartin King. Dragon King, similarly, the world with gods rejoices in the mindful Bodhisattva. Then,
