The earth should be understood through four immeasurable ways. What are these four? They are: mind being immeasurable, intelligence being immeasurable, entering the Dharma being immeasurable, and entering the behavior of sentient beings being immeasurable. These are the four. Naga lords, these four should be understood as the essence and letters of the inexhaustible treasury dharani. What are these four? They are: making wisdom the essence, making practice the essence, abiding in patience being the essence, and making what is undertaken fall under control being the essence. These are the four. Naga lords, these four are the definitive distinctions of the inexhaustible treasury dharani. What are these four? They are: the definitive distinction of truth, the definitive distinction of dependent origination, the definitive distinction of the behavior of all sentient beings, and the definitive distinction of all vehicles. These are the four. Naga lords, these four are the appearances of the inexhaustible treasury dharani. What are these four? They are: for example, the appearance of all sentient beings, the appearance of wisdom, the appearance of the eye of wisdom, and the appearance of teaching the Dharma appropriately according to each individual. These are the four. Naga lords, these four are the supports of the inexhaustible treasury dharani. What are these four? They are: diligence as support, discipline as support, fully seeking the accumulation of merit as support, and fully seeking the accumulation of wisdom as support. These are the four. Naga lords, these four are the endless seeking of the Dharma in the inexhaustible treasury dharani. What are these four? They are: the endless seeking of the perfections, the endless seeking of not being weary of samsara, the endless seeking of maturing sentient beings, and the endless seeking of omniscient wisdom. These are the four. Naga lords, these four are the lack of contentment with the inexhaustible treasury dharani. What are these four? They are: not being content with directly listening to the Dharma from the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, and not being content with teaching the Dharma to sentient beings.

And, not knowing satisfaction by completely seeking virtuous roots, and not knowing satisfaction by making offerings and showing respect to the Tathagata, these are the four. Dragon kings, these four are difficult to abide in the inexhaustible treasury Dharani. Which four?
