具足者薄伽梵如来应供正等觉光明照耀无边者，对国王极净国土如是说道。大国王，为此好好地听，记在心里，我将说。大国王，菩萨摩诃萨具有四法，即是于大乘不依赖他者。何为四？从信解生起的殊胜超世间之信心，以不退转之精进炽燃而勤于令一切有情成熟，以极善观察之慧，以现证之智慧而善于嬉戏，以及具足各别正知之智慧，乃是必定了悟一切法之体性。大国王，菩萨摩诃萨具有此四法，即是于大乘不依赖他者。大国王，菩萨摩诃萨具有四法，即是以殊胜行而对此不执著。何为四？以心调柔而善于从禅定中退舍。以善施予他人安乐而不执著自身安乐。安住于大悲且安住于大爱。以欲求更上之殊胜而信乐广大。大国王，菩萨摩诃萨 具有此四法，即是以殊胜行而对此不执著。大国王，菩萨摩诃萨具有四法，即是心不摇动不变动且极稳固。何为四？无有虚诳与谄诳之心，心完全清净之行为，从行为不退转之增上意乐，以及不舍增上意乐而修持。大国王，菩萨摩诃萨具有此四法，即是心不摇动不变动且极稳固。大国王，菩萨摩诃萨具有四法，即是方便与智慧完全清净。何为四？于一切有情无我

The Bhagavan Tathagata Arhat Samyaksambuddha, Light Radiating Boundlessly, spoke thus to King Utterly Pure Land: "Great King, listen well and keep in mind what I will say. Great King, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who possess four qualities are those who do not rely on others for the Great Vehicle. What are the four? The noble, transcendent faith that arises from conviction; the unwavering, blazing diligence to strive to fully ripen all sentient beings; the skillful play with the wisdom of direct perception through the mind of perfect analysis; and the characteristic of definitely realizing all dharmas through the wisdom that possesses individual correct knowledge. Great King, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who possess these four qualities are those who do not rely on others for the Great Vehicle. Great King, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who possess four qualities are those who are unattached to this through excelling. What are the four? Those who are skilled in withdrawing from meditative concentration due to the pliability of their minds. Those who are unattached to their own happiness by bestowing happiness upon others. Those who abide in great compassion and abide in great love. Those who aspire to greater and greater excellence and have faith in the vast. Great King, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who possess these four qualities are those who are unattached to this through excelling. Great King, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who possess four qualities are those whose minds are unwavering, unchangeable, and utterly stable. What are the four? A mind without deceit or deception; an action with a completely pure mind; a superior intention that does not turn back from action; and accomplishing without abandoning the superior intention. Great King, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who possess these four qualities are those whose minds are unwavering, unchangeable, and utterly stable. Great King, Bodhisattva Mahasattvas who possess four qualities are those whose means and wisdom are completely pure. What are the four? Selflessness towards all sentient beings.

而且还以四种摄事使众生完全成熟，并且通达一切法不可言说，又以文字和决定词为众生宣说佛法，并且完全受持正法，而且还信解一切佛陀以法身而分，并且为了完全成办妙相好而精进也不懈怠，而且还观想一切佛刹为空性，并且为了使佛刹完全清净而不舍弃努力的相续。大王，菩萨摩诃萨如果具有这四种法，就是方便和智慧完全清净者。大王，菩萨摩诃萨如果具有这四种法，就能看得长远，而且根本也不会断绝。四者为何？即观照菩提心要，而且也不舍弃菩提心。观照佛陀的智慧，而且自己的智慧也不退缩。观照善妙转法轮，而且对于如所听闻之法，说法也不疲厌。观照大涅槃，而且对于寿命、死亡和转生也不毁谤。大王，菩萨摩诃萨如果具有这四种法，就能看得长远，而且根本也不会断绝。大王，菩萨摩诃萨如果具有四种法，就能获得国土，而且也不会舍弃谨慎。四者为何？为了使人完全成熟，即使成为转轮圣王，但由于对有为法观修无常，所以获得国土也不会变得放逸。为了使天完全成熟，即使变成天众之主帝释天，但由于对有为法观修痛苦，所以获得国土也不会变得放逸。为了使魔众之神完全成熟，甚至示现为魔，但由于对法观修无我，所以获得国土也不会变得放逸。为了梵天众

Moreover, they also completely ripen sentient beings through the four objects of gathering, and they thoroughly understand that all dharmas are inexpressible, and they also teach the Dharma to sentient beings through letters and definitive words, and they also completely uphold the sacred Dharma, and they also believe that all Buddhas are distinguished by the Dharmakaya, and they also do not relax their diligence in order to completely accomplish the excellent marks and signs, and they also contemplate all Buddha-fields as being of the nature of space, and they also do not abandon the continuity of effort in order to completely purify the Buddha-fields. Great King, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva possesses these four dharmas, then they are those whose skillful means and wisdom are completely pure. Great King, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva possesses these four dharmas, then they will also see far into the distance, and their roots will also not be cut off. What are the four? Namely, they also look to the essence of Bodhi, and they also do not abandon the mind of Bodhi. They also look to the wisdom of the Buddhas, and their own wisdom also does not shrink back. They also look to the excellent turning of the wheel of Dharma, and they also do not become weary of teaching the Dharma as they have heard it. They also look to the great complete Nirvana, and they also do not revile life, death, and rebirth. Great King, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva possesses these four dharmas, then they will also see far into the distance, and their roots will also not be cut off. Great King, if a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva possesses four dharmas, then they will also obtain a country, and they will also not abandon mindfulness. What are the four? In order to completely ripen humans, even if they become a Chakravartin king, but because they individually contemplate impermanence in conditioned phenomena, even if they obtain a country, they will not become heedless. In order to completely ripen the gods, even if they become Indra, the lord of the gods, but because they individually contemplate suffering in conditioned phenomena, even if they obtain a country, they will not become heedless. In order to completely ripen the gods of the retinue of demons, even if they show themselves to be demons, but because they individually contemplate selflessness in the Dharma, even if they obtain a country, they will not become heedless.
