Please grant me instructions and subsequent teachings. After this request, the Blessed One spoke to the monk named "Extremely Pure Land" as follows: "Monk, your name is 'Extremely Pure Land.' Go forth and strive to purify your own land. Properly and truly understand your own land. In any case, among these six fields (the six objects of the six senses), whatever dharma appears to you, understand it completely and truly as it is, so that you may see enlightenment. Do not conceive of enlightenment as distant, nor conceive of it as near." The ocean of wisdom. Then, the Blessed One instructed the monk "Extremely Pure Land" with this instruction, and he retreated alone, dwelling with mindfulness and awareness, and carefully and truly understood his own land. What is this proper and true understanding? For example, the object of the eye is the object of emptiness. The object of emptiness is the object of all sentient beings. All sentient beings are also the object of emptiness, which is the object of the Buddha. The object of the ear is the object of emptiness. The object of emptiness is the object of all sentient beings. All sentient beings are also the object of emptiness, which is the object of the Buddha. Similarly, the objects of the nose, tongue, body, and mind are the objects of emptiness. The object of emptiness is the object of all sentient beings. All sentient beings are also the object of emptiness, which is the object of the Buddha. The object of the eye is the object of signlessness. The object of signlessness is the object of all sentient beings. All sentient beings are also the object of signlessness, which is the object of the Buddha. The object in between the mind is the object of signlessness. The object of signlessness is the object of all sentient beings. All sentient beings are also the object of signlessness, which is the object of the Buddha. Similarly, the object of the eye is the object of wishlessness, the object of non-action, the object of the unborn and the unmanifest. The object of the unmanifest is the object of all sentient beings. All sentient beings

The realm that has not yet appeared is the realm of the Buddha. Similarly, combine it with the realm of the mind. Ocean of Intelligence, in this way, the monk who is extremely pure in the realm, by entering the realm, body and mind become capable, and by cultivating the feet of miraculous power of desire, diligence, mind, and contemplation, he will generate the five abhijñās without delay. Through mindful conduct, he also obtains the dhāraṇī called "gathering all the words of meaning and definite arising." Ocean of Intelligence, at that time, at that moment, do you doubt and have second thoughts or hesitate, thinking that the one who renounced the wealth of a wheel-turning king and went forth into the teachings of that Bhagavan, becoming a monk named "Extremely Pure Realm," is someone else? You should not view it that way. Why? Ocean of Intelligence, you yourself at that time, at that moment, became the monk named "Extremely Pure Realm." Ocean of Intelligence, at that time, at that moment, if you think that the many hundreds of thousands of billions of beings who went forth after that monk who went forth are others, you should not view it that way, for they are the bodhisattvas who follow you for the sake of hearing the Dharma. When the Bhagavan spoke this chapter of past events, eighty million beings generated the mind of unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Eight thousand bodhisattvas obtained tolerance of the unborn Dharma. It is called the Chapter of Past Events, the tenth chapter. Chapter Ten, The Chapter of Past Events.
