The Bhagavan Buddha's arising from the father is not completely distinguished by antidotes; the Bhagavan Buddha's arising is without antidotes, separated from antidotes. The Bhagavan Buddha's arising is the Bodhisattva who should follow, following the Buddha's arising in a way that does not follow. The Bhagavan said: Son of the lineage, it is so. As you said, one should follow the Buddha's arising in a way that does not follow; just as the Buddha arises, one should follow the arising of all dharmas. Then, the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom asked the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, if the initial Bodhisattvas do not know such a Buddha's arising, Bhagavan, will they also see the Buddha's arising? The Bhagavan said: Ocean of Wisdom, just as the mind is completely pure, they will also see the Buddha's arising. Why is that? Ocean of Wisdom, there are these four types of Bodhisattvas. Which four? They are: the Bodhisattva who first generates the mind, the Bodhisattva who enters the practice, the Bodhisattva who is irreversible, and the Bodhisattva who is bound by one lifetime. Ocean of Wisdom, these are the four Bodhisattvas. Ocean of Wisdom, among them, the Bodhisattva who first generates the mind sees the Tathagata as form and marks. The Bodhisattva who enters the practice sees the Tathagata as having complete qualities. The Bodhisattva who is irreversible sees the Tathagata as completely distinguished by the Dharmakaya. Ocean of Wisdom, the Bodhisattva who is bound by one lifetime does not regard the Tathagata as form, marks, complete qualities, birth, lineage, and nature. Why is that? Because his eyes are observing with wisdom, abiding in wisdom, completely absorbed in wisdom, and wisdom also has no going.

There is no wavering; it is neither seeing nor not seeing. What is the reason for this? Seeing and not seeing are both extremes. To be free from the two extremes of seeing and not seeing is to see the Buddha. Whoever sees the Buddha sees the self. Because seeing the self is completely pure, seeing the Buddha is also completely pure. Because seeing the Buddha is completely pure, one should understand that seeing all dharmas is also completely pure. Whoever's seeing is completely pure, for them, this seeing of wisdom is called seeing the Buddha. Ocean of Wisdom, I also saw the Tathagata Dipamkara in that way. As soon as I saw him, I obtained the forbearance of non-arising dharmas in a way that was without attainment and without object. As soon as I obtained forbearance, I rose up from the ground to the height of seven tala trees. I remained in the middle of the sky and contemplated the qualities of omniscient wisdom. All things that became objects of sight were completely cut off. All discriminations, various discriminations, and complete discriminations were completely transcended, and knowing did not abide in any object, and sixty thousand samadhis manifested. The Bhagavan Tathagata Dipamkara prophesied to me, saying, 'Brahmin youth, in the future, you will become a Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, named Shakyamuni.' That teaching of the prophecy did not even resound in my ear faculty. I did not recognize it with any other wisdom. I was not completely confused. I did not abide in the observation of objects. I did not perceive the Buddha as the Buddha. I did not perceive the self as the self. I did not perceive the teaching of the prophecy as the teaching of the prophecy. Ocean of Wisdom, this is the prophecy of the bodhisattva's three wheels being completely pure. For whom there is no perception of the Buddha as the Buddha, no perception of the self as the self, and no perception of the teaching of the prophecy as the teaching of the prophecy, this is called the complete purity of the three wheels. Ocean of Wisdom, what else is the complete purity of the three wheels? For whom there is no clinging to self, no clinging to sentient beings, and no clinging to dharmas. Furthermore, the complete purity of the three wheels is for whom there is no name.

Without clinging to this, without clinging to form, without clinging to the object. Furthermore, the complete purification of the three circles means knowing that the past has ended, knowing that the future has not yet arrived, and knowing that the present arises without a place to dwell. Furthermore, the complete purification of the three circles means knowing the body as an image, knowing speech as an echo, and knowing the mind as an illusion. Furthermore, the complete purification of the three circles means that, for the aggregates, knowing the equality with the aggregates of Dharma; for the realms, knowing the equality with the realm of Dharma; for the sources, knowing each separately as an empty village. Furthermore, the complete purification of the three circles means having faith in emptiness, believing in the signless, and having no doubt in the wishless. Ocean of Wisdom, this complete purification of the three circles will purify all Dharmas. Ocean of Wisdom, therefore, the Bodhisattva should be skilled in the wisdom of the complete purification of the three circles. The Eighth Chapter of the "Inquiry of the Holy Ocean of Wisdom" Thereafter, the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom asked the Blessed One: Blessed One, it is wonderful that a non-regressing Bodhisattva possesses the seeking of profound Dharma! Blessed One, how is a Bodhisattva who possesses such seeking of Dharma skilled in dedication? After asking this, the Blessed One said to the Bodhisattva Ocean of Wisdom: Ocean of Wisdom, the Bodhisattvas who dwell in this place act by the power of previous actions, and when they do not dwell in equanimity, the dedication made previously will not be in vain even in hundreds of paths. Ocean of Wisdom, therefore, some wise people explain with examples, so that the meaning of what is said can be understood, so I will give you an example. Ocean of Wisdom, for example, when a sugarcane field, or a rice field, or a vineyard is piled up into ridges, a person digs ditches on all the ridges according to their needs, draws water from the canal, and then leaves and falls asleep, even though that person is asleep, how the ditches were dug
