Great Lachen, as revealed by the Thus-Gone One, dwelling in great compassion, truly and thoroughly showing it to all sentient beings. O Bhagavan, whoever holds even a small portion of this great treasure of the precious Dharma, all those will be completely liberated from the fears of falling into the lower realms. Gradually, they will perfectly turn the supreme wheel of the precious Dharma. For example, O Bhagavan, if someone sees a great treasure filled with all kinds of precious jewels not far from a village, city, or town, that person also becomes endowed with perfect beneficial things. Having seen that great treasure, he goes to the village, city, or town, thinking, 'I will tell the multitude,' and says, 'Come here, everyone! Whoever among you needs jewels, I will show him this inexhaustible great treasure.' O Bhagavan, some of them develop faith in him, while others do not. Those who develop faith go to the great treasure, and some take as many jewels as they can, while others take jewels according to their understanding, yet that great treasure does not diminish, but gives to these people. It does not give to those people, and it does not fully consider whether these people can take or these people cannot take. Why is that? O Bhagavan, because that great treasure is inconceivable. Similarly, O Bhagavan, the Thus-Gone One accomplished this supreme great treasure of the precious Dharma over countless eons. Having accomplished it, he attained perfect complete enlightenment at the Bodhi tree. Having attained perfect complete enlightenment, in the Deer Park of Varanasi, he perfectly turned the great wheel of the Dharma. Similarly, the Bhagavan opened this Dharma category, this supreme great treasure of the precious Dharma, in this Great Assembly chapter. The Bhagavan

With a mind of unsparing compassion, generating great compassion for all sentient beings, truly bringing forth beneficial things, and with a voice that makes them understand through the voice of Brahma, to the world including gods, humans, and asuras, saying: Come! This great treasure of precious Dharma, unparalleled, which brings an end to birth, aging, sickness, and death, inexhaustible, bestowing all happiness, come and take it! Thus making them understand. However, Bhagavan, some foolish people lack faith, do not believe, do not trust, do not contemplate, and do not practice faith. Some who are thinkers with faith believe and trust, contemplate and practice faith. They take precious Dharma from the Tathagata's great treasure of precious Dharma as much as they can and as appropriate, and explain it according to their faith in the vehicle. Some enter for the sake of the Shravakas, some for the sake of the Pratyekabuddhas, some for the sake of unsurpassed perfect complete enlightenment, but the Tathagata's great treasure of precious Dharma, which is unparalleled, is inexhaustible and inconceivable. Bhagavan, those who thus abandon the Tathagata's great treasure of precious Dharma, thus discriminate, and do not take even a tiny bit from it, they will completely lose the preciousness and turn away from the preciousness, and for a long time will delight in the three lower realms. Bhagavan, those who take even a four-line verse from this great treasure of precious Dharma, they possess the wealth of the noble ones and are not poor. What need is there to mention those who take even one chapter from this chapter of the Great Assembly Dharma, or two chapters, three chapters, four chapters, five chapters, ten chapters, twenty chapters, thirty chapters, forty chapters, fifty chapters, sixty chapters, seventy chapters, or even hold all of them completely? The merit of those holy beings cannot be measured. Bhagavan, those who do not depart from the mind of enlightenment, who are overwhelmed by great compassion for all sentient beings, who hold, recite, read, and fully understand this chapter of the Dharma gate, and others
