There are also those who are tamed by the Vinaya. There are also those who are tamed by the Dharani. There are also those who are tamed by practice. There are also those who are tamed by mindfulness. There are also those who are tamed by right exertion. There are also those who are tamed by the power of miraculous feet. There are also those who are tamed by the senses. There are also those who are tamed by strength. There are also those who are tamed by the limbs of enlightenment. There are also those who are tamed by the path. There are also those who are tamed by tranquility. There are also those who are tamed by insight. Ocean of Intelligence, there are also sentient beings who are tamed by the teaching of the noble truths. Ocean of Intelligence, thus, the conduct of sentient beings is inconceivable, the thoughts of sentient beings are inconceivable, and the realm of sentient beings is inconceivable. Therefore, a Bodhisattva, having entered into inconceivable knowledge, is able to enter into the inconceivable conduct of all inconceivable sentient beings. Ocean of Intelligence, for example, if a person were put into a net called "All-Encompassing Net," and if that person were to cultivate the power of the mantra knowledge called "Liberation from All Nets," then as soon as he is put into the net, by the power of the mantra knowledge, he would cut all the bonds of the net and go wherever he pleases. Ocean of Intelligence, similarly, a Bodhisattva who is skilled in means also enters into the thoughts of all sentient beings, and by the power of the mantra knowledge of the Perfection of Wisdom, he cuts all the bonds of affliction of all those sentient beings, and even though he does not touch the wisdom of the Buddha, he abides near sentient beings with the deeds of the Buddha. Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, how much is the conduct of sentient beings immeasurable? And how much is the knowledge of the Buddha inconceivable? It is wonderful! Blessed One, when a first-time Bodhisattva hears that the conduct of sentient beings is immeasurable and that the knowledge of the Buddha is immeasurable, and does not fear, is not afraid, and does not become alarmed, this is very wonderful to me!

is there. After this was reported, the Blessed One said this to the son of Sharadvati: Sharadvati's son, what do you think? Does a lion cub fear or dread the sound of a lion? Will it be completely frightened? He reported: Blessed One, no. The Blessed One said: Sharadvati's son, similarly, the first Bodhisattva, upon hearing the sound of the Tathagata's lion, will not be afraid, will not be frightened, will not be completely frightened. Having heard the immeasurable behavior of sentient beings, he will not be afraid either. Sharadvati's son, for example, even a small light of fire is not afraid of all the trees and grasses, and does not think that it cannot burn me. Sharadvati's son, similarly, even the small light of wisdom of the first Bodhisattva is not afraid of all the afflictions of sentient beings, and does not think that I cannot pacify the afflictions, but properly and truly examines the afflictions of all sentient beings, and becomes the cause of wisdom. Sharadvati's son, for example, having fully observed and approached, the fire, grass, trees, leaves, and branches all begin to fight and argue, thinking that a great battle will be fought in seven days. At that time, those grasses and trees gathered all the other grasses and trees, saying: Be our army! Be our friend! Then, the pile of grass and trees gathered like Mount Sumeru, and then some people went to the fire and said: Why don't you gather an army? Do you think you can defeat these grasses and trees alone? Then that person said: Here I do not need to gather an army. Why is that? Because the opposing grasses and trees are my friends, and the more these are, the more powerful I become. If these did not exist, I would also die quickly. Sharadvati's son, similarly, how does the Bodhisattva treat all sentient beings

Thus, thus, the Bodhisattva becomes extremely powerful by intensely radiating the immeasurable fire of wisdom towards immeasurable afflictions. If one properly examines the afflictions of all sentient beings, it will become a cause for wisdom. If a Bodhisattva wishes to eliminate his own afflictions but is distracted by the afflictions of all sentient beings, he will quickly fall into the ground of a Hearer or a Solitary Realizer. Sharadvatiputra, you should understand this teaching in this way: Thus, thus, the Bodhisattva becomes extremely powerful by properly attending to the afflictions of all sentient beings and discriminating them as they truly are. If one is not afraid upon hearing this, one should know that he is a Bodhisattva skillful in means. Sharadvatiputra, for example, the offspring of a venomous snake devours without needing a companion. Sharadvatiputra, similarly, a Bodhisattva who is a beginner also perfectly gathers the limbs of enlightenment without needing a companion, and perfectly gathers the limbs of enlightenment alone and without a second. Sharadvatiputra, for example, hundreds of thousands of fireflies cannot overwhelm the radiance of the sun. Sharadvatiputra, similarly, all afflictions cannot overwhelm the radiance of the wisdom of a Bodhisattva. Sharadvatiputra, for example, even a small antidote can pacify a great deal of poison. Sharadvatiputra, similarly, even a small amount of the medicinal wisdom of a Bodhisattva can pacify a great deal of the poison of afflictions. Sharadvatiputra, for example, a stream of water with a single taste flows from space, but its taste varies due to the differences in containers. Sharadvatiputra, similarly, a Bodhisattva also perfectly accomplishes the wisdom of liberation, which has a single taste, but teaches different dharmas to sentient beings with different faculties. Sharadvatiputra, for example, wherever gold from the Jambu River appears, all jewels will...
