Then, a Brahmin like a great Sala tree, abiding in equanimity, said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, Bodhi is equanimity, inconceivable. In it, no letters are visible, no words are visible." The Blessed One said: "Son of good family, it is just so. In the realm of Dharma, words are not visible, nor are meanings visible." Then, Manjushri, become a youth, said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, what is the corresponding cause of emptiness? What is the aspect? What is the sign? What is the characteristic?" The Blessed One said: "Manjushri, emptiness is unutterable, inexpressible. Whoever has faith in this unutterable Dharma nature is called emptiness. Emptiness is without letters, therefore it is called emptiness. Emptiness is inexpressible, therefore it is called emptiness. Son of good family, all Dharmas are empty by their very nature of Dharma." Then, the venerable Sharadvatiputra said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, please observe the transformations of those Bodhisattvas who abide in inconceivable Dharmas." The Blessed One said: "Venerable Sharadvatiputra, the wisdom of a Bodhisattva who has generated the first thought is supreme, but the wisdom of an Arhat is not so. Why is that? Because an Arhat dwells far from the Dharmas of the Buddhas, while that Bodhisattva will become a Buddha, a Blessed One." Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, the King of All Dharma Sovereignty, said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, as I understand the meaning spoken by the Blessed One, the Shravakas have not obtained the Dharmas of the Shravakas." The Blessed One said: "Son of good family, it is not that the Shravakas have not obtained the Dharmas of the Shravakas, but where do the Shravakas have the ability and power to answer questions or bless practices together with Bodhisattvas?" Then, Manjushri, become a youth, said to the Blessed One:

Solto. O Blessed One, the son of Sharadvati has been shown by the Tathagata to be the foremost of those with wisdom, so to whom is this teaching shown? The Blessed One said: Manjushri, what I have shown is without showing. Then, the youthful Manjushri said to the elder Sharadvati's son: Has the elder attained the Dharma of the Hearers? He replied: No. Manjushri said: Then, are you an ordinary being? He replied: No. Manjushri said: Then, are you a learner? He replied: No. Manjushri said: Then, are you the foremost of those with wisdom? He replied: No. Manjushri said: If the venerable Sharadvati's son is neither an ordinary being, nor a learner, nor the foremost of those with wisdom, then you are one with an object of focus. Sharadvati's son said: Son of good family, I will not contend with you, a noble being as deep as the ocean. Manjushri said: Venerable Sharadvati's son, you are a supreme elder, venerable Sharadvati's son, do not say such things. The elder said: Son of good family, the state of being old will not attain anything, nor will it realize anything. Son of good family, I will give you an example so that you may understand that meaning. Son of good family, for example, even a poor diamond can destroy a great mountain rock. Son of good family, likewise, the wisdom that resides in one pore of your skin is not possessed by beings like me, even as many as the dust of fine particles. Son of good family, I will also give you an example so that you may understand that meaning. Son of good family, for example, even a very fierce and large elephant can be tamed by a strong person with a small iron hook. Son of good family, likewise, you are strong, and I am weak. How can I compare with such a great elephant? Then, the elder Sharadvati's son said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, for example,

A blind person walks in the footsteps, but if he cannot even see the city, how can he see the footsteps from one house to another? That is impossible. Similarly, I see myself as like a blind person in front of these great elephants, these teachings of the Buddha are so vast. I am not a vessel for the Buddha's teachings, and now there is nothing I can do. The Blessed One said: Sharadvatiputra, do not say such things. Sharadvatiputra, for example, all those sentient beings who are touched by the light of the Tathagata have attained the teachings of the Buddha. Sharadvatiputra, similarly, you have attained infinite and inconceivable samadhi. When the Blessed One spoke this Dharma discourse, ninety-two thousand sentient beings from among the gods and humans attained the realization of the Dharma. Then, the Bodhisattva Dharma Wisdom entered into the samadhi called the Infinite Union of the Jewel Ornament of Bodhisattva Samadhi. As soon as the Bodhisattva Dharma Wisdom entered into samadhi, from beyond the number of atoms of ten thousand Buddhafields in each of the ten directions, Buddhas, Blessed Ones, manifested their faces by the number of atoms of ten thousand Buddhafields, and all those Buddhas, Blessed Ones, had the same name, Vajragarbha. Just as in one direction, so it was in all ten directions. Those Buddhas, Blessed Ones, said to him: Dharma Wisdom, it is excellent, excellent that you have entered into the Infinite Union of Bodhisattva Samadhi in this way! Son of good family, for example, due to the former aspirations of the Blessed One, the Tathagata Vairochana, the former blessings, and the firm establishment of your own roots of virtue, therefore, to teach all the dharmas, to purify the wisdom of the Buddha, to increase the wisdom of the Buddha, and the Dharma.
