Those who are attached, do not heed the words spoken by the monks. Who does not desire emptiness and peace? This monk is vehemently proclaiming non-Buddhist teachings. They said, "Killing this monk will bring merit," and so, monks came bearing weapons. Upon seeing them, the monk was not afraid of the weapons, saying, "Here, there is no killing of sentient beings or men." These dharmas are like a wall that has been piled up, remembering the dharmas of emptiness. That monk placed his palms together at his crown, and uttering words, paid homage to the victorious ones. By what truth does this dharma become emptiness? These weapons have all turned into Mandarava flowers. The capable one, endowed with discipline and asceticism, as soon as he spoke these unchangeable words, the earth, including the forest, shook violently, and those weapons turned into Mandarava flowers. Those with malicious intent, bearing weapons, at that time the monk's body became withered, and he could no longer approach. They were frightened and greatly astonished. Whoever has faith in the capable lord, whoever desires emptiness and peace, they recited "Alala empty," and covered the monk with hundreds of cloths. That monk generated love towards them, saying, "Whichever sentient beings hate me, I practice enlightenment for their sake." He spoke thus in front of all people. For no less than eighty years, he expounded the treasury of the victorious ones of emptiness, and a thousand monks came to debate, who were repelled by the king's son. At that time, he was also completely despised, and his monks became few. At that time, even upon hearing unpleasant words, he never wavered from the power of patience. When he was in other times, he also did great things for hundreds of lives. Remembering the inconceivable dharma, he generated merit, wisdom, and great joy. There, he also drew a large picture, and spoke of merit and wisdom to that monk. Has anyone not done anything displeasing to my teacher? He said, "Young prince, please listen, it is through the power of patience that one becomes a perfectly enlightened Buddha. Whoever has spoken unpleasant words to me, my love for them is even greater. Whoever, for a thousand eons,
