Umbrellas, victory banners, and flags were hoisted. Gods, dragons, yakshas, gandharvas, asuras, garudas, kinnaras, mahoragas, humans, and non-humans, hundreds and thousands, filled and watched. Various kinds of precious flowers were also spread all over. To this, it is said: Moonlight made that vast and excellent house, all of the vastness was extremely adorned. In which the lamp of the world resides, a divine lion throne was placed in the center. The lamp of the world, the lord of the victors, where the Sangha would sit, countless millions of extremely radiant precious cushions were properly laid out. Incense containers made of various jewels, filled with agarwood, were hung in all directions, from which pleasant fragrances emanated. Moonlight, for the sake of the one who has gone to the ten powers, with various beautiful precious flowers, and various excellent fragrant flowers, spread all over the good ground of the house. The sounds of dancing, singing, and musical instruments, filled all the excellent houses with sound. Umbrellas and flags were also extremely hoisted. Many horses and cattle were exquisitely adorned but not ridden, being led, mingled with countless people from other lands, and they themselves, with palms filled with heavenly Mandara flowers, proclaimed the great power of the Bodhisattvas, the great magical abilities of the Bodhisattvas, and the great transformations of the Bodhisattvas, as well as the Bodhisattvas' "Ala la" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit, literal Chinese meaning), the pleasing and delightful, captivating heavenly songs. They emerged from the hot spring gate of the great city of Rajagriha, and went to where the King of Mountains, Vulture Peak, was, and where the Blessed One was. Having arrived, they bowed their heads to the feet of the Blessed One, circumambulated the Blessed One three times, scattered the heavenly Mandara flowers that filled their palms upon the Blessed One, and then sat to one side.
