དང་སྤོས་ཀྱིས་ཡོངས་སུ་མཆོད་པ་བྱས་སོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་རིན་པོ་ཆེའི་སྒྲོན་མ་སྤོས་ཀྱི་ཤིང་བརྩིགས་པའི་དྲུང་དུ་ཕྱིན་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་རང་ཤིའོ། །དེ་ནས་ལྷ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་ཀྱང་བླ་ན་མེད་པའི་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་སྣ་བདུན་གྱི་མེ་ཆེན་པོ་ཐོགས་ཏེ། མེའི་འོད་ཀྱིས་ཀུན་དུ་སྣང་བར་བྱས་ནས་ངུས་བཞིན་དུ་སྤོས་ཀྱི་ཤིང་བརྩིགས་པའི་དྲུང་དུ་ཕྱིན་མ་ཐག་ཏུ་མེ་དེ་ཡང་རང་ཤིའོ། །དེ་ནས་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ལྷ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱང་རྒྱ་མཚོའི་ནང་གི་མེ་རིན་པོ་ཆེ་སྣ་བདུན་གྱི་སྒྲོན་མའི་འོད་ཟེར་གྲངས་མེད་པ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཐོགས་ཏེ། སྤོས་ཀྱི་ཤིང་བརྩིགས་པ་ལ་བསྲེགས་ན་མེ་དེ་ཡང་རང་ཤིའོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་འཁོར་མང་པོ་རྣམས་ཤིན་ཏུ་ངུས་ནས་མཆོད་པ་ཐམས་ཅད་ཀྱིས་མཆོད་དེ། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་མཛད་པ་ཅིའི་མཐར་མ་ཕྱིན་ན། སྤོས་ཀྱི་ཤིང་ལ་མེ་མཆེད་དུ་མ་བཏུབ་པ་མ་རྟོགས་སོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱིས་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོ་ཀུན་ལ་ཁྱབ་པ་འོད་སྲུང་གི་འཁོར་ལ་གཞེས་ཏེ་གདོད་ཞུགས་ཀྱིས་བཞེན་ཏོ། །དེའི་ཚེ་ན་འོད་སྲུང་ཆེན་པོ་འཁོར་ལྔ་བརྒྱ་དང་བྱ་རྒོད་འཕུངས་པའི་རི་ལ་འཁོད་དོ། །རི་དེ་རྩྭ་མཆོག་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་ནས་དཔག་ཚད་ལྔ་བཅུ་ཡོད་དེ། དེ་ན་ལུས་དང་སེམས་རབ་ཏུ་ཞི་བའི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་ལ་ཞུགས་པ་ལས་དངངས་ནས་ལུས་ཀྱང་འདར་ཞིང་གཡོས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་ལས་བྱུང་སྟེ་བལྟས་ན་ས་དང་རི་ཀུན་རབ་ཏུ་གཡོས་པ་མཐོང་ནས། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པར་ཤེས་ཏེ། འཁོར་རྣམས་ལ་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ངའི་སྟོན་པ་ཆེན་པོ་ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་ནས་ཞག་བདུན་ལོན་ཏེ། སྒྲོམ་གྱི་ནང་དུ་ཡང་བཅུག་གོ །ཀྱི་ཧུད་ཀྱི་ཧུད་མྱུར་དུ་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་གང་ན་བར་དོང་ངོ་། །གལ་ཏེ་ཞུགས་ལ་བཞེན་པར་གྱུར་ན་དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྐུ་མཚན་སུམ་ཅུ་རྩ་གཉིས་དང་། དཔེ་བྱད་བཟང་པོ་བརྒྱད་ཅུར་ལྡན་པ་ཡོངས་སུ་ དག་པ་མཐོང་བར་མི་འགྱུར་རོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་ནས། འོད་སྲུང་གིས་བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ལ་བསྟི་སྟང་བྱ་བའི་ཕྱིར། རྫུ་འཕྲུལ་གྱིས་ནམ་མཁའ་ལ་མ་སོང་གི །འཁོར་དང་བཅས་ཏེ་ལམ་དུ་ཞུགས་ནས། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་གང་ན་བར་མྱུར་དུ་ངུས་བཞིན་དུ་སོང་ནས་ཞག་བདུན་གྱིས་རྩྭ་མཆོག་གི་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་དུ་ཕྱིན་ཏོ། །གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་ཤར་སྒོར་བྲམ་ཟེ་ཞིག་ལྷའི་མེ་ཏོག་གཅིག་ཐོགས་ཏེ་འོངས་པ་དང་ཕྲད་ནས། འོད་སྲུང་གིས་དེ་ལ་ཀྱེ་ག་ལས་འོངས་ཞེས་དྲིས་སོ། །དེས་སྨྲས་པ། བདག་སངས་རྒྱས་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་ཞུགས་ལ་བཞེན་པའི་གནས་ནས་འོངས་སོ

并且用香遍满供养。当时，珍宝灯刚一靠近香木堆，就自行熄灭了。之后，众天神也手持无上的七宝大火，用火的光芒照亮各处，哭泣着刚一靠近香木堆，那火也自行熄灭了。之后，所有海神也手持海中七宝灯的无数光芒，想要焚烧香木堆，那火也自行熄灭了。当时，众多眷属非常悲伤地用各种供品供养，却不明白如来为何未能完成事业，无法点燃香木上的火焰。当时，世尊以大慈悲遍及一切，光守护者眷属最初就已开始行动。当时，大光守护者与五百眷属一同住在鹫峰山上。那座山距离吉祥草城（拘尸那迦）有五十由旬。在那里，他们从身体和心灵完全平静的禅定中惊醒，身体也颤抖摇动。之后，从禅定中出来，看到大地和山脉都在剧烈摇动，便知道如来已经涅槃，于是对眷属们说道：我的大导师已经完全涅槃七天了，而且也被放入棺椁之中。唉！唉！我们应该尽快前往如来所在之处。如果已经火化，我们就无法再见到如来具有三十二相和八十随形好的圆满之身了。说完，光守护者为了侍奉世尊，没有用神变升到空中，而是带着眷属踏上道路，哭泣着迅速前往如来所在之处，七天后到达了吉祥草城（拘尸那迦）。在城东门，遇到一位婆罗门手持一朵天花走来。光守护者问他：‘你从哪里来？’那人回答说：‘我从佛陀涅槃火化的地方来。’

And they offered incense everywhere. At that time, as soon as the jewel lamp approached the pyre of fragrant wood, it extinguished itself. Then, all the gods also held aloft a great fire of the unsurpassed seven jewels, illuminating everywhere with the light of the fire, and weeping, as soon as they approached the pyre of fragrant wood, that fire also extinguished itself. Then, all the ocean gods also held countless rays of light from the seven-jeweled lamps of the ocean, wanting to burn the pyre of fragrant wood, but that fire also extinguished itself. At that time, the many attendants, weeping bitterly, made offerings with all kinds of offerings, but they did not understand why the Tathagata had not completed his work, and could not light the fire on the fragrant wood. At that time, the Bhagavan, with great compassion pervading all, the retinue of Light Protector had already begun to act from the very beginning. At that time, the great Light Protector, with five hundred attendants, was dwelling on Vulture Peak Mountain. That mountain was fifty yojanas from the city of Kushinagar. There, they were startled from the samadhi of complete peace of body and mind, and their bodies trembled and shook. Then, having arisen from samadhi, they saw that the earth and all the mountains were shaking violently, and they knew that the Tathagata had passed into nirvana, and they said to their retinue: "My great teacher has completely passed into nirvana for seven days, and has also been placed in a coffin. Alas! Alas! We should quickly go to where the Tathagata is. If he has already been cremated, we will no longer be able to see the complete body of the Tathagata, endowed with the thirty-two marks and eighty minor marks." Having said this, Light Protector, in order to serve the Bhagavan, did not ascend into the sky by means of miraculous power, but taking his retinue, he set out on the road, weeping, and quickly went to where the Tathagata was, and after seven days he arrived at the city of Kushinagar. At the eastern gate of the city, he met a Brahmin coming with a divine flower in his hand. Light Protector asked him, "Where do you come from?" He replied, "I come from the place where the Buddha passed into nirvana and was cremated."

་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །འོད་སྲུང་གིས་མེ་ཏོག་འདི་དག་ག་ལས་རྙེད་ཅེས་དྲིས་ན་ཞུགས་ལ་བཞེན་པའི་གནས་སུ་ལྷའི་མེ་ཏོག་འདི་རྙེད་དོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །འོད་སྲུང་གིས་མེ་ཏོག་འདི་ཁོ་བོ་བསླང་ངོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་ན་མི་རུང་ངོ་། །བདག་འདི་གཉེན་པ་རྣམས་བསྟེན་ཅིང་ཁྱིམ་དུ་མཆོད་པ་བྱར་འགྲོའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །འོད་སྲུང་གིས་ཅུང་བལྟའོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་ནས་ལག་གིས་བླངས་ཏེ། སྤྱི་བོ་ལ་བཞག་མ་ཐག་དེར་བརྒྱལ་ཏེ་ས་ལ་འགྱེལ་ཏོ། །རིང་ཞིག་ལོན་པ་དང་ཕྱིར་སངས་ནས་ངུས་ཏེ། དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པའི་སྐུ་དཔེ་བྱད་བཟང་པོ་བརྒྱད་ཅུ་དང་ལྡན་པ། གསེར་བཙོ་མའི་ཁ་དོག་ལྟ་བུ་ད་ཕྱིན་ཆད་མི་མཐོང་ངོ་ཞེས་སྨྲས་ནས་འཁོར་དང་བཅས་ཏེ་གྲོང་ཁྱེར་རྩྭ་མཆོག་གི་བྱང་སྒོར་ཞུགས་ཏེ། གྲོང་ཁྱེར་གྱི་ནང་དུ་ཕྱིན་ནས་དགེ་སློང་གི་གནས་ཞིག་ཏུ་ཞུགས་ནས་དགེ་སློང་དག་ཅིག་འདུས་ཤིང་འཁོད་པ་དག་མཐོང་ངོ་། །དགེ་སློང་དེ་དག་གིས་འོད་སྲུང་ལ་ཁྱོད་ལམ་རིང་པོ་ནས་འོངས་ན་ཉོན་མོངས་ཤིང་མི་བདེ་བར་མ་གྱུར་ཏམ། བདེ་བར་འདུག་ལ་བསོད་སྙོམས་སྡོད་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །འོད་སྲུང་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁོ་བོའི་སྟོན་པ་ཆེན་པོ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་ན། བདག་བྲོད་པ་ཅི་ཞིག་ཡོད་དེ། འདིར་བདེ་བར་འདུག་ཅིང་བསོད་སྙོམས་བསྡད་དུ་རུང་ངམ། དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཁྱོད་ཀྱི་སྟོན་པ་སུ་ཡིན། འོད་སྲུང་གིས་སྨྲས་པ། ཅི་ཁྱེད་མི་ཤེས་སམ། ཀྱི་ཧུད་བདག་གི་སྟོན་པ་ནི་སངས་རྒྱས་བཅོམ་ ལྡན་འདས་ཡིན་ཏེ། ད་ཡོངས་སུ་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་སོ། །དགེ་སློང་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་དེ་སྐད་ཅེས་ཐོས་ནས་སོ་སོ་ནས་འདི་སྐད་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །ལེགས་སོ་ལེགས་སོ། །དེ་བཞིན་གཤེགས་པ་འཇིག་རྟེན་ན་བཞུགས་ན་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་དམ་པས་བདག་ཅག་མི་བཟོད་དེ། བདག་ཅག་དེ་བཞིན་དུ་སྤྱོད་མི་ནུས་པ་ལས། ད་མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་ནས་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་བསྡམས་པ་ཡང་ལྷོད་པར་གྱུར་གྱིས་རེ་ཞིག་མ་རིངས་པར་བསོད་སྙོམས་སྡོད་ཅིག་ཅེས་སྨྲས་སོ། །སངས་རྒྱས་ཀྱི་བྱིན་གྱི་རླབས་ཀྱིས་ལྷ་རྣམས་དང་། འོད་སྲུང་གི་འཁོར་རྣམས་རྣ་བ་འགགས་པར་བྱས་པས་དགེ་སློང་སྡིག་ཅན་རྣམས་ཀྱིས་སྨྲས་པའི་ཚིག་ཐོས་པར་མ་གྱུར་གྱི། འོད་སྲུང་འབའ་ཞིག་གིས་ཐོས་སོ། །དེ་ནས་འོད་སྲུང་འཁོར་རྣམས་དང་བཅས་ཏེ་ཤིན་ཏུ་ངུས་ནས་སངས་རྒྱས་ག་ན་བར་མྱུར་བར་སོང་ངོ་། །དེའི་ཚེ་འོད་སྲུང་འཁོར་དང་བཅས་ཏེ་འདི་སྙམ་དུ་བསམས་སོ། །བདག་ཅག་གིས་ཇི་ལྟ་བུར་མཆོད་པའི་ཡོ་བྱད་རྙེད་ཅིང་སངས་རྒྱས་ལ་མཆོད་པར་འགྱུར་སྙམ་བ

这样说了。光增问道：“这些花是从哪里得到的？”回答说：“在供奉余烬的地方得到了这些天上的花。”光增说：“把这些花给我吧。”那人说：“不行。我要去拜访亲戚，还要回家供奉。”光增说：“让我稍微看一下。”说完，用手拿了过来，刚放到头顶上，就昏倒在地。过了很久才醒过来，哭着说：“如来的身体，具备八十种妙相，像纯金的颜色一样，以后再也看不到了。”说完，和眷属一起进入了草顶城的北门，进入城里后，来到一处僧人的住所，看到一些僧人聚集在那里。那些僧人对光增说：“你从远道而来，难道不疲惫不舒服吗？好好休息，接受供养吧。”光增说：“我的大导师已经涅槃了，我还有什么可高兴的呢？还能在这里好好休息，接受供养吗？”僧人们说：“你的导师是谁？”光增说：“难道你们不知道吗？哎呀！我的导师是释迦牟尼佛，现在已经完全涅槃了。”僧人们听到这话，各自说道：“好啊好啊！如果如来在世，我们会被严格的戒律所束缚，我们无法那样做。现在他已经涅槃了，戒律的约束也放松了，暂时不要着急，接受供养吧。”由于佛陀的加持，诸天和光增的眷属的耳朵都听不见声音，所以没有听到那些罪恶的僧人说的话，只有光增听到了。之后，光增和眷属一起非常伤心地哭着，迅速地向佛陀所在的地方走去。当时，光增和眷属一起心想：“我们怎样才能找到供品，并供养佛陀呢？”

Thus he spoke. Od-srung asked, "Where did you get these flowers?" He replied, "I found these heavenly flowers at the place where the ashes are offered." Od-srung said, "Give me these flowers." The man said, "No, I must visit my relatives and go home to make offerings." Od-srung said, "Let me see them for a moment." Saying this, he took them with his hand, and as soon as he placed them on his head, he fainted and fell to the ground. After a long time, he awoke and wept, saying, "The body of the Thus-Gone-One, endowed with eighty excellent marks, like the color of pure gold, I will never see again." Having said this, together with his retinue, he entered the north gate of Grass-Top City. After entering the city, he went to a monk's dwelling and saw some monks gathered and seated there. Those monks said to Od-srung, "You have come from a long way, are you not tired and uncomfortable? Rest well and receive alms." Od-srung said, "Now that my great teacher has passed into nirvana, what joy do I have? Is it possible to rest here comfortably and receive alms?" The monks said, "Who is your teacher?" Od-srung said, "Do you not know? Alas! My teacher is the Buddha, the Bhagavan, who has now completely passed into nirvana." When the monks heard this, they each said, "Good, good! If the Thus-Gone-One were in the world, we would be intolerable due to the strict discipline, and we would not be able to act in that way. Now that he has passed into nirvana, the constraints of discipline have also loosened. Do not be in a hurry for a while, receive alms." By the blessing of the Buddha, the ears of the gods and Od-srung's retinue were blocked, so they did not hear the words spoken by the sinful monks, only Od-srung heard them. Then, Od-srung and his retinue, weeping bitterly, quickly went to where the Buddha was. At that time, Od-srung and his retinue thought, "How can we find offerings and make offerings to the Buddha?"
