It is because of greatness that the mind is great, and because the mind is great. Because the arrangement is great. Because the taming is great. Because the skillful means are great. Because the Dharma teaching is great. Because the power and strength are great. Because the mandala of the retinue is great. Because the miraculous powers are great. Because loving-kindness and compassion are great. Because it is always unchanging. Because there is no obstruction to all sentient beings. Because it accommodates all sentient beings, therefore it is called the abode of great sentient beings. Not dwelling with corpses, the corpse refers to those with wrong views, those who have broken the four defeats, those who have committed the faults of the five heinous crimes, those who slander the extremely vast Sutras, those who speak of non-Dharma as Dharma, those who speak of Dharma as non-Dharma, those who hold the eight unexamined things, those who freely use the wealth of the Buddha and the property of the Sangha, and those who engage in non-Dharma conduct with monks and nuns, these are called dead corpses. This Sutra of complete Nirvana is also separated from many such things, therefore it is called not associating with dead corpses. Not increasing or decreasing, because it is limitless, because it has no beginning or end, because it is not form, because it is not action, because it always exists, because it does not arise or cease, because it is equal to all sentient beings, because all characteristics are unified into one characteristic, therefore it does not increase or decrease. Therefore, this Sutra, like the great ocean, possesses eight inconceivable qualities. Lion's Roar Bodhisattva asked: "Bhagavan, if it is said to be profound because the Tathagata does not arise or cease, then, for all sentient beings, there are four kinds of birth places, namely, egg-born, moisture-born, womb-born, and spontaneously born. These four kinds of birth places are also completely present among humans. For example, the monk Sala tree, Upasipala, and the householder Nikara's mother, the householder Kudha's mother, the householder Pansala's mother, etc., each of them has five hundred sons, all born from one egg. Therefore, there are also egg-born beings among humans."
