Regarding moisture-born beings, as the Bhagavan said, in the past when the Bodhisattva practiced, there were those called Wheel-Turning Kings, and those called hand-born kings, and now there are the mango tree girl and the bilva tree girl, so there are also moisture-born beings among humans. In the beginning when the kalpa was formed, all beings were born miraculously, but the Buddha Bhagavan possessed the eight powers, so why was he not born miraculously? The Bhagavan said: Son of good family, all beings are born in four ways. After hearing the holy Dharma, they will no longer be born from eggs or moisture as before. Son of good family, in the beginning when the kalpa was formed, all beings were born miraculously, but at that time the Buddha had not descended into the world. Son of good family, if beings are afflicted by disease, they need doctors and medicine. In the beginning when the kalpa was formed, all beings were born miraculously, and although they had afflictions, the disease of afflictions had not arisen, so the Tathagata did not descend into the world. Son of good family, the beings of the first kalpa had not yet matured in body and mind, so the Tathagata did not descend into the world. Son of good family, the Buddha Bhagavan's lineage, retinue, and parents are the most excellent, and all the Dharma he speaks is convincing, so the Tathagata is not miraculously born. Son of good family, all beings, sons do the work of fathers, and fathers do the work of sons. If the Buddha Bhagavan were miraculously born, he would have no parents. If there were no parents, how could all the meritorious deeds of ordinary people be accomplished? Therefore, the Tathagata is not miraculously born. Son of good family, the holy Dharma taught by the Buddha has two kinds of protection, inner and outer. The inner protection is discipline, and the outer protection is relatives, friends, and retinue. If the Buddha Bhagavan were miraculously born, there would be no outer protection, so the Tathagata is not a miraculously born body.

do not wish so. Son of lineage, some people become arrogant because of their noble lineage. The Tathagata, in order to destroy their arrogance, does not wish for a body born by transformation from a noble lineage. Son of lineage, the Buddha, the Bhagavan, truly has parents, the father is called Śuddhodana, and the mother is called Māyādevī, but if it is said that these beings are illusory, how would one desire a body born by transformation? If one takes a body born by transformation, from where would many relics come? The Tathagata, for the benefit of sentient beings, divides the relics into minute parts so that all can make offerings. Therefore, the Tathagata does not wish for a body born by transformation. If all Buddhas do not wish for a body born by transformation, why should I alone take a body born by transformation? Then, the Bodhisattva Simhanada, with palms joined and his right knee on the ground, praised the Bhagavan with these verses: The Tathagata is a collection of immeasurable qualities, I cannot fully express them, but for the sake of ordinary beings, I will speak a little. For the sake of your compassion, please listen to what I say. Ordinary beings who walk in the darkness of ignorance, in order to reduce endless suffering, will experience various kinds of suffering. The Bhagavan has freed them from these sufferings, therefore he is known throughout the world as the Great Compassionate One. Ordinary beings revolve in the cycle of existence because of the cause of samsara, and are completely deluded by carelessness, so they cannot obtain happiness. The Tathagata has completely bestowed happiness, therefore he has cut off the continuum of samsara. The Tathagata has bestowed happiness on all, therefore I am not attached to any happiness, nor do I desire it. For the sake of ordinary beings, you have practiced all austerities, therefore the whole world worships you. When you see others suffering, you tremble, but even if beings fall into hell, they do not feel the suffering. For the sake of sentient beings, you endure great suffering, therefore you have conquered all and possess immeasurable qualities. The Tathagata, for the sake of sentient beings
