It is called the mind not following the body. Furthermore, son of good family, the Bodhisattva transforms this body to be like the realm of the three-thousand great thousand world system. Although that great body enters into a single atom, the mind at that time does not become so small. The Hearers and Solitary Buddhas can only transform their bodies to be as large as the realm of the three-thousand great thousand world system, but that great body cannot enter into an atom. They cannot even do such things, what need is there to say about making the mind unmoving? This is called the Bodhisattva's mind not following the body. Furthermore, son of good family, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva, with a single sound, causes all beings in the realm of the three-thousand great thousand world system to hear it in their ears, but does not think, "With this sound of mine, I will cause beings in all world realms to hear what they have not heard before." From the beginning, the Bodhisattva has never said, "I will cause beings to hear what they have not heard before." If the Bodhisattva says, "Through the cause of my teaching the Dharma, I will cause beings to hear what they have not heard," it should be known that he will never attain unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. Why is that? Because the mind that says, "I will speak what beings have not heard," is a samsaric mind. All Bodhisattvas have completely exhausted that mind. Because the meaning is such, the body and mind of the Bodhisattva Mahasattva do not accompany each other. Son of good family, all inferior people, their body and mind accompany each other. The Bodhisattva is not like that. In order to do the benefit of beings, although he shows a small body, the mind is not small. Why is that? Because the nature of the minds of the Bodhisattvas is always vast. Although he shows a great body, the mind does not become great. What is a great body like? It is said to be like the realm of the three-thousand great thousand world system. What is a small mind like? It is said to be practicing the conduct of a young child. Because the meaning is such, after the body

The mind does not follow the earth. Although the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva abstains from alcohol and does not drink it for countless kalpas, the mind still wavers. Although there is no suffering or mental confusion in the mind, tears flow from the body. Although there is truly no fear, the body trembles greatly. Therefore, it should be understood that the Bodhisattva has obtained mastery over body and mind, and thus they do not accompany each other. The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva manifests one form, but sentient beings each see it as different. Furthermore, son of good family, if the Bodhisattva-Mahasattva diligently engages with the Mahayana Nirvana Sutra, what is it that becomes hearing what was previously unheard? The Bodhisattva-Mahasattva first enters into the characteristics of sound, such as: the sound of a cow bellowing, the sound of a horse, the sound of a chariot, the sound of a person, the sound of a conch shell, the sound of a drum, the sound of a bee, the sound of a flute and so on, the sound of singing, the sound of crying. All of these should be cultivated. Because of repeatedly cultivating them, one will be able to hear all the sounds of the hells of countless sentient beings in the three-thousand great thousand world system. If one cultivates again and again, one will obtain a distinct sense of hearing, different from the miraculous ear of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Why is that? The purified ear consciousness attained by the Two Vehicles relies on the four great Brahma heavens of the first dhyana, and only hears the sound of the first dhyana; the second dhyana up to the fourth dhyana are also the same. Although one can hear all the sounds of the three-thousand great thousand world system at once, one cannot hear the sounds of countless and limitless world systems like the sands of the Ganges River. Therefore, what the Bodhisattva hears is different from the ear sense of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas. Because it is so distinct, one can hear what was previously unheard, but even though one hears sounds, the mind initially has no characteristic of hearing sounds. The characteristic of existence, the characteristic of permanence, the characteristic of happiness, the characteristic of self, the characteristic of purity, and the characteristic of lordship.

There is neither self-nature, nor the nature of dependence, nor the nature of action, nor the nature of cause, nor the nature of certainty, nor the nature of result. Therefore, the Bodhisattvas heard what they had not heard before. Then, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva Kuntunangwa Tothun Palgyi Gyalpo asked: Is it not the meaning that the Blessed One said that there is no definite nature and no fruit nature? Why is that? The Blessed One said before that if anyone hears one verse or one letter of the Great Nirvana Sutra, they will surely attain unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment. Having said that, why did the Tathagata say that there is no certainty and no fruit? Attaining unsurpassed, perfect and complete enlightenment is the nature of certainty and the nature of fruit, so why did he say that there is no certainty and no fruit? Hearing unpleasant sounds gives rise to evil thoughts, and giving rise to evil thoughts leads to falling into the three evil realms. Falling into the three evil realms is the definite fruit, so why did he say that there is no certainty and no fruit? The Blessed One replied: Good, good! Son of good family, it is good that you dare to ask like that! If the Blessed One said that sounds have a definite and fruit nature, then that is not the nature of the Buddha Blessed One, but the nature of the King of Demons, the nature of Samsara, the nature of being far from Nirvana. Why is that? Because everything that the Buddha Blessed One said has no definite and fruit nature. Son of good family, for example, if a person's face is reflected in a sword, it appears long when held upright, and wide when viewed sideways. If this is the definite nature, why does it appear long when held upright and wide when viewed sideways? Therefore, what the Buddha Blessed One said is without definite and fruit nature. Son of good family, what is called Nirvana,
