That palace appeared completely beautiful, the pillars seemed to be adorned with divine jewels. All the walls also seemed to be decorated with gold. In each room, there were doors made of gold and silver. In each room, there were also stairs made of gold and silver. In the silver houses, there were gold pillars adorned with jewels; in the gold houses, there were silver pillars adorned with jewels. Outside of Jetavana, there appeared various kinds of wish-fulfilling trees, with golden trunks, silver leaves, and various kinds of ornaments hanging down, as well as silks from the land of Kashi hanging down, hundreds and thousands of Chinese silks hanging down, hundreds and thousands of pearl necklaces hanging down, as well as crowns, earrings, garlands, armlets, and anklets hanging down in hundreds and thousands. Outside, there were also hundreds of such wish-fulfilling trees with jewel bracelets made of jewels hanging on them. In the Jetavana monastery itself, the stairs also appeared to be made of vajra. Behind the doors, there hung an abundance of pearls and silks. There were also many ponds, some filled with water possessing eight qualities, and some filled with various kinds of flowers, such as utpala flowers, lotus flowers, kumuda flowers, pundarika flowers, mandarava flowers, great mandarava flowers, and udumbara flowers. Furthermore, various kinds of tree flowers grew, such as campaka flowers, karavira flowers, patala flowers, ati-muktakaka flowers, and the fragrance of summer, as well as other delightful tree flowers, making the Jetavana monastery appear completely beautiful. Then, from within that assembly, the Bodhisattva Sarvanivaranaviskambhin rose from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, knelt on his right knee, and, with palms joined, bowed towards the Blessed One and spoke to the Blessed One thus: "Blessed One, I have attained something extremely rare and wonderful."
