Those Buddha-fields were made of vaidurya, covered with seven kinds of jewels and golden nets, adorned with nets of bells and chimes, scattered everywhere with mandārava flowers and great mandārava flowers, hung with celestial streamers, manifestly hung with celestial flower garlands, perfumed with celestial incense and fumigation, and adorned with jewel trees. The height of all those jewel trees was also five hundred yojanas. Those five hundred yojana lion thrones also manifested, and beneath the jewel trees, those tathāgatas were seated in the lotus position on their respective lion thrones. Again, at that time, the tathāgatas emanated by the Bhagavan Śākyamuni, all those who taught the Dharma in the eastern direction, in Buddha-fields as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, in hundreds of thousands of kotis of nayutas, all came. Likewise, those who came and went from the ten directions resided in the eight directions. At that time, each of the directions from which those tathāgatas came from the eight directions was filled with thirty million kotis of world realms. Then, those tathāgatas, seated on their respective lion thrones, sent their respective attendants to the Bhagavan Śākyamuni, offered handfuls of jewel flowers, and spoke thus: "Noble sons, go to Vulture Peak Mountain in Rājagṛha, and from there, pay homage to the Bhagavan, the Tathāgata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Awakened Buddha Śākyamuni, and with my words, ask the assembly of bodhisattvas and the assembly of śrāvakas, 'Are you free from harm? Are you free from illness? Do you have strength? Do you abide in ease and comfort?'"
