Isn't it like that? The Tathagata Jewel Heart declared, "Brahmin, it is like that. I will also prophesy those sentient beings who make aspirations according to their wishes and who fully embrace the qualities and arrangements of the Buddha's realm." The Brahmin said, "Venerable Bhagavan, my heart trembles like the leaf of a Kangusha tree, my mind is very sad, and my whole body has become emaciated. Venerable Bhagavan, if at that time the Bodhisattvas abandon and are thrown into the darkness of the time of great strife, and all the abandoned sentient beings become the object of my compassion, then, Venerable Bhagavan, in the future, after countless kalpas equal to the sands of one Ganges River have passed, when the second countless kalpas equal to the sands of the Ganges River arrive, in that Fortunate Kalpa, when the life of beings is able to reach a thousand years, may I dwell there, and may I not be weary of samsara as I practice the conduct of enlightenment for that long time. May I be delighted to fully embrace those to be tamed, whom I will mature for a long time with the power of samadhi, and as I practice the six perfections, I will fully take hold of those to be tamed. I heard from the Bhagavan that completely abandoning the characteristics of things is the perfection of generosity. Having heard that, I will practice such a perfection of generosity. Even if in other lifetimes there are countless beggar sentient beings, may I give them such gifts. For example: food, drink, things to eat, things to chew, things to drink, things to lick, clothes, bedding, cushions, dwellings, flower garlands, incense, unguents, donations of medicine for the sick, umbrellas, banners, streamers, wealth, grain, elephants, horses, chariots, gold, silver, conch shells, jewels, pearls, vaidurya, agate, coral, great gems, and Salisabrama.

When all these gifts are repeatedly and completely given, may I also be exceedingly happy in this way, not seeking fruit with a mind of compassion, but bestowing them upon sentient beings, for the sake of completely maturing sentient beings; and for the sake of benefiting those sentient beings who are to be subdued, may the collections of offerings be completely given. If there are also sentient beings who beg for what is difficult to give, such as: slaves, servants, villages, cities, kingdoms, inner ministers, sons, daughters, and completely giving hands, completely giving feet, ears, noses, eyes, tongues, skin, blood, bones, bodies, lives, and completely giving heads, if someone begs for such complete giving, may I also be exceedingly happy, not seeking fruit with a mind of compassion, but for the sake of benefiting those who are to be subdued, may the giving be given to sentient beings. I will also practice this kind of perfection of giving, that is, the giving that has never been completely given by any sentient being in the past, and in the future, any Bodhisattva who practices for the sake of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment will not completely give such giving, may such giving be completely given. In other lifetimes, in countless billions of trillions of hundreds of thousands of eons, when practicing for the sake of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, may I also practice the perfection of giving. May I establish the future Bodhisattvas who are endowed with great compassion in the qualities of the way of giving. That which completely pacifies the battle of afflictions is the perfection of morality, therefore, when I practice for the sake of unsurpassed perfect enlightenment, may I always practice various disciplines and austerities. As mentioned before, there is no intolerance towards objects, and I That which is the obstacle of various discriminations is the perfection of patience.

It is like this, may I cultivate such patience. As mentioned before, diligently contemplating that all conditioned phenomena are empty, and all unconditioned phenomena are peaceful, and not retreating from the unsurpassed conduct, this is the perfection of diligence. In order to abandon the perversion of all actions, practicing emptiness, this is the perfection of meditation. The patience towards the dharma of unborn nature, this is the perfection of wisdom. No matter how many eons have passed, hundreds of thousands of billions of inconceivable countless eons, acting with the force of steadfast joy, past bodhisattvas practiced for the sake of unsurpassed complete enlightenment, none of them did not practice the perfection of wisdom with the force of steadfast joy. Future bodhisattvas who practice for the sake of unsurpassed complete enlightenment will also not fail to practice the perfection of wisdom with the force of steadfast joy, may I practice thus. May the future great compassionate bodhisattvas also abide in the merits of the Dharma. May my initial arising of mind also accomplish the great compassion of future bodhisattvas. In order to make the bodhisattvas marvel until unsurpassed nirvana, may I practice generosity without pride. May I practice without clinging to discipline, without pride in patience, without acceptance or rejection in diligence, without abiding in meditation, and without duality in wisdom. May I practice towards beings who are separated from the seven noble riches, those who are abandoned in all empty Buddha lands, those who abandon the true Dharma, those who slander the noble ones, those who have wrong views, those who are associated with unwholesome roots and obtain suffering, and beings who are destroyed by evil paths.
