The Buddha said: Brahma, whether in water, or in the mandala of a mirror, or in containers of oil and ghee, or in jewels and crystals, or in other pure containers, various images appear, such as the appearance of trees and forests, and gardens and parks, and palaces; or the appearance of villages and cities and towns; or the appearance of elephants and horses and camels and cows and donkeys and sheep and deer and birds; or the appearance of the moon and the sun and the assembly of stars; or the appearance of the bodies of Hearers and Solitary Buddhas and Bodhisattvas and Tathagatas; or the appearance of land and mountains and rivers; or the appearance of Indra and Brahma and world protectors and other sentient beings, humans and non-humans, are these created by Brahma, manifested by you, and blessed by you? I report, Blessed One, it is not so. The Buddha said: Brahma, in cliffs and mountains and mountain streams and ponds, the clamor of the sounds of conches and gongs and drums and songs and dances and deer and birds and humans and non-humans, and the corresponding sound images that arise, are these also created by Brahma, manifested by you, and blessed by you?
