Engages in contemplation. In the form of blue and red, there exists the consciousness of a person. Waves are the Dharma that accords with the mind. Why, Great Sage, do you explain? Various forms of blue and red do not exist in the waves. To explain its nature, the activity of the mind is explained to children. Because there is no activity in it, one's own mind has abandoned the object. If there is an object, the subject will also be established as in accordance with the waves. Like the body, enjoyment, and place, it appears as the consciousness of a person. Therefore, its activity appears to be the same as the waves. If waves are things, the ocean will become the active consciousness, Then, the activity of the Alaya is also the same, why can't it be understood with wisdom? Because children do not have wisdom, the Alaya is like the ocean, In order to accord with the Dharma that produces waves, it is explained approximately with metaphors. For good, bad, and intermediate people, just as the umbrella appears to change, Similarly, you, the lamp of the world, correctly reveal to the foolish. You diligently abide in the Dharma, why do you not speak of suchness? If suchness is spoken, there is no suchness in the mind. Like the waves of the ocean, and like mirrors and dreams, Like appearing in an instant, the mind is also in its own field of activity, Because it does not have object and aspect, activity arises gradually. Discerned by consciousness, and similarly, pride is produced by mind. It appears in the five, there is no sequence in equanimity. Some painters, or even students of painters, Apply paint for the sake of painting, this explanation is similar to that. There is no picture in the paint, nor is there in the brush and container. For the sake of guiding sentient beings, pictures are distinguished by paint. In reality, there are no letters, these explanations are confused. For those who abide in all Dharmas, it is correctly revealed to yogis. Individual self-awareness is truly abandoned by discrimination and contemplation. This is revealed to the sons of the Buddhas, not explained to children. Like various illusions, although they appear, they are not truly existent, Similarly, various explanations, explanations are false. What is revealed to others should not be spoken to others.

Just as doctors administer different medicines to different patients, the Buddhas likewise speak of mind-only to sentient beings. The realm of self-awareness that the protectors speak of is not the realm of those with conceptual thoughts, nor is it the realm of the Shravakas. Mahamati, furthermore, Bodhisattvas who wish to fully understand the realm of conceptual thoughts of the apprehended and apprehender of their own mind's appearance should be free from gatherings, busyness, sleep, and obscurations. They should strive in the yoga of not sleeping at dusk, dawn, and midnight. They should be separate from heretics, evil treatises, speech, and the characteristics of the Shravaka and Pratyekabuddha vehicles. Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas should realize and understand the nature of conceptual thoughts in their own mind's appearance. Mahamati, furthermore, Bodhisattvas Mahasattvas, abiding in the distinction of mind, wisdom, and jnana, should strive in the three characteristics of superior jnana. Mahamati, what are the three characteristics of superior jnana? They are: the characteristic of non-appearance, the characteristic of the blessing of the aspiration of all Buddhas, and the characteristic of the jnana of each individual Arya. Having understood these, the yogi, like a dullard, abandons the characteristics of mind, wisdom, and jnana, attains the eighth bhumi of the sons of the Victorious Ones, and strives in the three characteristics above that. Mahamati, the characteristic of the non-appearance of all things arises from complete familiarity with the characteristics of the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and heretics. Mahamati, the characteristic of blessing arises from the blessing of the aspiration of the Buddhas of the past. Mahamati, the characteristic of the jnana of the Arya, which is self-awareness, arises from the realization that all the dharmas of the Buddhas and all characteristics are without attachment, and from the realization that the body of the samadhi of illusion is completely attained, and from the realization that the bhumi of the Buddhas is understood. Mahamati.
