By what kind of understanding of the extremely diverse characteristics of the way of thoroughly distinguishing the self-nature of what is conceptually constructed, can you and the other Bodhisattva-Mahasattvas abandon discrimination and conceptualization, become noble ones, with their own self-awareness, as well as the principles of non-Buddhists, and the grasping mind that sees objects extremely, and abandon the discrimination of the grasper and the grasped, and not discriminate separately on the various different characteristics of other-powered nature, like the conceptually constructed nature, thereby revealing the characteristics of the way of thoroughly distinguishing the conceptually constructed nature? To this, Mahamati, what is the characteristic of the way of thoroughly distinguishing the conceptually constructed nature? It is like this: discriminating speech, discriminating what is to be spoken, discriminating characteristics, discriminating wealth, discriminating self-nature, discriminating causes, discriminating views, discriminating knowledge, discriminating birth, discriminating non-birth, discriminating relations, and discriminating bondage and non-bondage. Mahamati, this is the characteristic of the way of thoroughly distinguishing the conceptually constructed nature of speech. To this, Mahamati, what is discriminating speech? It is like this: being extremely attached to sounds and various beautiful songs. Mahamati, this is discriminating speech. To this, Mahamati, what is discriminating what is to be spoken? It is like this: whatever the nature of the object to be spoken, it abides in the wisdom of the noble ones and what is to be known by understanding, so that speech can proceed. This is discrimination. To this, Mahamati, what is discriminating characteristics? It is like this: being extremely attached to various characteristics of things like mirages that are to be spoken, and thus being extremely attached. That is, discriminating the characteristics of all things such as heat, moisture, movement, and hardness. To this, what is discriminating wealth? It is like this: speaking of the objects of gold, silver, and various precious jewels. To this, what is discriminating self-nature? It is like this:
