I come to you from time to time, and I have been urging you for a long time. Do not be ashamed or discouraged, but may you attain joy and happiness. Go to where the self-arisen victor resides, and prostrate at the feet of the supreme being. Offer flowers and incense to that protector, and likewise offer clothes as well. Generate roots of virtue from that victor, and generate the supreme mind of enlightenment. Having stabilized the mind in supreme enlightenment, those who respectfully revere the victor with faith, they will mature, as the protector of the world has declared. Make such a request to the self-arisen victor. Then, that woman went to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, she bowed her head at the feet of the Blessed One, made offerings to the Blessed One, and respectfully made the request as she had been instructed. After the request was made, the Blessed One said: By this accumulation of virtuous roots, one will not fall into the lower realms or unfavorable states. Having pleased countless Buddhas, one will become the supreme among humans, a Buddha. Then, the Blessed One, having collected alms in the great city of Shravasti, came out of the city together with the boy Inconceivable Light and many other people, and went to the Jeta Grove, Anathapindika's Garden, where the Victorious Prince was. Then, the Blessed One finished his meal, arose from meditation, and sat down to listen to the Dharma. Then, King Prasenajit of Kosala, together with his fourfold army, went to the Jeta Grove, where the Victorious Prince was, and to where the Blessed One was, and having arrived, he bowed his head at the feet of the Blessed One and sat down on one side. Having sat down on one side, King Prasenajit of Kosala said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, where is that boy Inconceivable Light, who possesses such wondrous and extraordinary qualities? Then, the Blessed One pointed out the boy Inconceivable Light and showed him, and King Prasenajit saw that the boy's body was perfectly complete, surpassing the gods.

Seeing him adorned with patience, fearlessness, discipline, samadhi, and wisdom, he thought: 'What kind of deeds and accumulations of merit did he do in the past that his body is so pure?' Then, the boy Immeasurable Light, through the power of the Buddha and his own past roots of virtue, understood the entirety of King Clear King's mind and spoke in verses: Those who always possess loving-kindness and pure minds, Those who are not harsh, gentle, and mindful, Well-tamed, upright, and practicing celibacy, Their bodies will become pure. Those who abandon sins and do not engage in evil deeds, Always increasing even small virtues, Abandoning harmful thoughts and anger, Their bodies will become pure. Those who, with reverence, always make offerings to the Buddha, Dharma, and the supreme Sangha, And do not wish to strike others or make threats, Their bodies will become pure. Those who do not harbor jealousy or stinginess towards others, Nor do they harbor pride, And do not speak of others' faults, Their bodies will become pure. Those who never question, slander, or deceive others, Nor do they seek to find fault in others, Their bodies will become pure. Then, King Clear King said to the Blessed One: Blessed One, this boy Immeasurable Light possesses great virtue, Blessed One, due to what karmic obscuration was this boy born in the womb of a woman without a husband, and then abandoned in an empty room? The Blessed One replied: Great King, in the distant past, ninety-one kalpas ago, at that time, the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Enlightened One, complete in knowledge and conduct, Sugata, Knower of the World, Tamer of Beings, Supreme, Teacher of Gods and Humans, Buddha, Blessed One, named Vipashyin Buddha, appeared in the world. Great King, at that time, the Blessed One, the Tathagata Vipashyin, was proficient in his scriptures.

There were once two Bodhisattvas, named Lhazang and Sa. Among them, the one who became the Bodhisattva Lhazang was irreversible, with few affairs, few actions, fond of solitude, and renowned for meditation and clairvoyance. The other, who became the Bodhisattva Sa, did not possess vast Dharma, but served as Lhazang's attendant. He frequently entered villages, towns, countryside, and the vicinity of palaces. After entering, he had many affairs and many actions. Therefore, the Bodhisattva Lhazang admonished and taught him, saying: Why do you not strive for yoga and asceticism, but instead have so many affairs and so many actions? He urged him again and again, and that person became angry, agitated, and dissatisfied. Having become malevolent, he made his body and mind unpleasant. Thinking evilly, he spoke harsh words: Bastard! Hybrid! Born of another! You don't even have parents, so where would you have wisdom or discipline? He thought evilly and spoke harsh words, not confessing, not repenting, not abandoning, but holding it in his heart. He always harbored malice towards the Bodhisattva Lhazang and had no loving-kindness. The Bodhisattva Lhazang also thought that he was not a suitable vessel and abandoned him. Because of that, he harbored even more malice towards the Bodhisattva Lhazang, uttering unpraising words, uttering unpleasant, unknown, and uncomposed words. From what he accumulated and created, his body was destroyed. After death, he was born in the womb of a woman without a husband. Because he had protected the mind of Bodhi, he was not born in hell. As soon as he was born, that woman abandoned him on a great road, where he was eaten by dogs, wolves, and jackals. Great King, in this way, for ninety kalpas, he died with such suffering and misery, and each time he was born, he was abandoned. Moreover, many ordinary people said: Bastard, hybrid, this one was eaten by dogs, wolves, and jackals.
