If so, son of Sharadvati, in how many ways does that Bodhisattva show the wisdom of the Buddha, and do all the Bodhisattvas who are close to realization accept it with their heads? Or do they accept it with their shoulders? In that way, on what night does the Bodhisattva attain unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, and if he fully matures beings, teaches the Dharma to those beings, and abides therein, even so, the Bodhisattva Mahasattva does not become one who has done what should be done in response. Because that Bodhisattva Mahasattva possesses immeasurable Buddhadharma. Son of Sharadvati, therefore, you should understand in that way, in what way the Bodhisattva has not made a response of what should be done to beings. Thirteenth fascicle. Son of Sharadvati, in the past, in a past time, after immeasurable kalpas, even more immeasurable, vast, limitless, inconceivable, and immeasurable, at that time, there appeared a Tathagata named All Hidden. The lifespan of that Bhagavan was seventy thousand years. There were three assemblies of his Shravakas. One was eighty million monks. The second was sixty million monks. The third assembly of Shravakas was forty million monks. Son of Sharadvati, after the Tathagata, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha All Hidden passed away, the sacred Dharma remained for forty thousand years. After that Bhagavan passed away, in the final five hundred years of the degenerate age, there appeared a monk named Supreme Wisdom, who was very learned, mindful, clear, and gentle. Son of Sharadvati, at that time, in this Jambudvipa, there appeared a king named Boundless. The palace of that king was the city of Boundless, which was twelve yojanas wide, rich, prosperous, peaceful, fertile, delightful, and filled with beings and many people. At that time, in the city of Boundless, there also appeared a householder named Without Anger. Son of Sharadvati,

Then, the son of the Wrathless householder, named Meaningful Wisdom, was born. After that, the merchant's son Meaningful Wisdom went to where the monk Yeshe Chok was, and having arrived, the monk Yeshe Chok spoke words in accordance with the Bodhisattva. After that, the merchant's son Meaningful Wisdom, having heard the words from the monk Yeshe Chok, rejoiced and each became perfectly aware. At that time, he covered the monk Yeshe Chok with a Dharma robe worth a hundred thousand kotis. After covering him, he said to the monk Yeshe Chok: "Noble one, what you have said is very good, very good! Please visit my house again and again. And having come, please also speak such Dharma, and it will also be beneficial to me. Long-lived one, the giving of Dharma will also become a great fruit. From now on, for as long as I live, I will offer Dharma robes, alms, bedding, medicine for sickness, utensils, other utensils, and other things. And those monks who follow the long-lived one, I will also entertain them as guests." Then, the monk Yeshe Chok said to the merchant's son Meaningful Wisdom: "Householder, those words you have spoken are good." Then, the merchant's son Meaningful Wisdom prostrated at the feet of the monk Yeshe Chok and circumambulated him, and then departed from the monk Yeshe Chok. Son of Sharadvati, after that the monk Yeshe Chok went to the house of the merchant's son, the youth Meaningful Wisdom. Son of Sharadvati, after that the monk Yeshe Chok established the parents, son, wife, male servants, female servants, employees, and those who live on wages of the merchant's son, the youth Meaningful Wisdom, in the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Son of Sharadvati, and also because of that root of virtue, for countless kalpas, he never separated from the Buddha, never separated from the Dharma, never separated from the Sangha, never separated from the virtuous friend. Son of Sharadvati, at that time, at that moment, do you think that the one who was called the merchant's son Meaningful Wisdom was someone else?

You should not view it that way. Why? Because at that time, I became the merchant's son named Don gyi Lodrö (Meaningful Intellect). Sharadvatiputra, do you doubt or hesitate, thinking that the father of that young merchant's son at that time was someone else? You should not view it that way. Why? Because at that time, the Tathagata Light Protector was my father. Sharadvatiputra, do you think that the hundreds of millions of beings who appeared at that time were other beings? Sharadvatiputra, you should not view it that way. Why? Because all of them are definitely destined for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Sharadvatiputra, they have all truly gathered in this assembly, and I have also prophesied their unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Sharadvatiputra, the monk Yeshe Chok (Supreme Wisdom) completely passed into the realm of nirvana without remainder in that very lifetime. Sharadvatiputra, if the monk Yeshe Chok had not completely passed into nirvana through the Hearer Vehicle, then by teaching the Dharma to the merchant's son Don gyi Lodrö, the accumulation of merit he possessed would have been enough for him to attain unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment and become a Buddha. What more to say about his having taught the Dharma to his parents and all his attendants. Sharadvatiputra, if the monk Yeshe Chok had not completely passed into nirvana, Sharadvatiputra, I would not be able to repay that monk. Sharadvatiputra, even if I were to forget or make offerings, I would not be able to repay the deed he did by teaching me the Dharma. Sharadvatiputra, therefore, whoever pleases a Bodhisattva with words that accord with the Dharma, and causes him to understand correctly and praises him, that person possesses an immeasurable accumulation of merit. Sharadvatiputra, that Bodhisattva generates the mind of enlightenment through immeasurable actions, and accomplishes the generation of the mind of enlightenment.
