Diligence! The Blessed One said: Boy, the Bodhisattva seeks complete enlightenment through the nature of desire. Boy, similarly, the Bodhisattva seeks complete enlightenment through the nature of hatred, the nature of delusion, and the nature of all afflictions. Boy, just as desire, hatred, and delusion have no substance, the Bodhisattva's wisdom enters into all dharmas. Boy, desire, hatred, and delusion are without root, without place, without foundation, without agent, without experiencer, inwardly and outwardly peaceful, empty, devoid of self, sentient beings, life, nourishment, person, individual, without characteristics, free from attachment to characteristics, without aspiration, without manifest joy, free from joy and craving, without manifest activity, without inherent existence. Boy, just as desire, hatred, and delusion are, so too does the Bodhisattva's wisdom enter into all dharmas. Boy, furthermore, all the aspirations of a Bodhisattva who strives properly are enlightenment. Why is that? Because the realization of mind is unshowable, without aspiration, without discrimination, like the nature of illusion, not internal, not external, and not associated with others, therefore it is formless. Boy, that itself is the Bodhi of the Bodhisattva, Boy, the Bodhisattva has nothing else to comprehend other than realizing his own mind. Realizing one's own mind is the realization of the minds of all sentient beings. Because one's own mind is empty, the minds of all sentient beings are also empty. The nature of one's own mind is the nature of the minds of all sentient beings. Because one's own mind is pure, the minds of all sentient beings are also pure. Because one's own mind is free from desire, the minds of all sentient beings are also free from desire. Because there is no hatred in one's own mind, there is no hatred in the minds of all sentient beings. Because there is no delusion in one's own mind, there is no delusion in the minds of all sentient beings. Because there are no afflictions in one's own mind, all sentien
