My heart will turn to sorrow, I think I should throw these jewels into the pond. Then, the great mother of beings, Goddess Gautami, threw those jewels into the pond, which is now also called the Jewel Pond. To this it is said: When the learned and brave Bodhisattva appeared, all the people of Shakya city awoke. In everyone's heart, they thought the young man was sleeping in bed, feeling content and very happy, talking to each other. Sa-ho-ma and the concubines also awoke. When they looked in the bed, they did not see the Bodhisattva, exclaiming, "Alas, I have been deceived, where has the Bodhisattva gone?" The sound of weeping also arose in the king's palace. The king heard that sound and fell to the ground, crying out, "Alas, my only son." Then, people poured water from a vase on him, bathed him, and many Shakyas also relieved his breath. Sa-ho-ma also fell from the bed to the ground, her hair disheveled, and her jewels were also untied. The teacher had told me before that the day of separation from all suffering would not be far off, alas, he spoke well. The form is a beautiful form, very pure, adorned with limbs, bright and pure, a beauty pleasing to beings. Possessing glory, worthy of praise, worthy of worship by gods and humans. You left me in bed, where have you gone? Not seeing the Bodhisattva who possesses merit, even if thirsty, I do not want to drink, even if full, I do not want to eat. Lying on the ground, my hair is also disheveled, abandoning bathing, I will practice asceticism. All the gardens have no leaves, flowers, or fruits. The pure Se-mo-do is also like a dark dust rag. Since you, the supreme person, have abandoned it, the city and houses are no longer beautiful, like a wilderness. Alas, the sound of very melodious singing, alas, the concubines wearing loose jewels, alas, even the sky covered with a golden net, because it is devoid of merit, I will no longer want to look at it. That aunt also suffered great pain, and she also relieved her breath, saying, "Daughter of the Shakyas, do not weep." That supreme person had also said before, "I will end aging and death in the world."

is. The great hermit practiced a thousand virtuous deeds, and at midnight he had traveled six yojanas. He entrusted the excellent horse and ornaments to (the charioteer) Adunba. "Take these (things) and go to Kapilavastu! Also, with my words, tell your father and mother: 'The prince has left, please do not be sad anymore. After attaining Buddhahood, I will return here again. After hearing the Dharma, your hearts will also be at peace.'" Adunba, weeping, said again to the tamer: "Adunba, where are you taking the excellent Bodhisattva?" The king of men, the relatives, will beat me, I have no ability, no strength, and no power." The Bodhisattva said again: "Adunba, do not be afraid! My relatives will be very happy, they will always regard you as a teacher, and they will love you as they love me." Adunba, carrying the excellent horse and ornaments, went to the garden of that king of men. The guardian of the garden felt joy and spoke the sound of universal joy to the Shakya people: "The prince's excellent horse and Adunba have also arrived at the garden, please do not be sad." When the king heard this, surrounded by the Shakya people, he felt great joy and went to the garden. Seeing the Bodhisattva who had left home, knowing that his mind was made up, he did not believe those words and was not happy. It is impossible for the prince to return here again and again before attaining enlightenment. When the king saw the excellent horse and Adunba, he wept and fell to the ground. "Alas! My son, skilled in song, dance, and music, abandoning all kingship, where have you gone? Adunba, tell me well here, where has the Bodhisattva gone? What kind of arrangement was it? Who opened the door? Who took him away? How did the gods make offerings to him?" Adunba said: "King, please listen to me. At midnight, the children and old people in the city were asleep, and the Bodhisattva (འཇམ་དབྱངས,文殊,mañjuśrī,妙吉祥) said to me: 'Adunba, quickly give me my excellent horse.' I gave the birth of
