The perfection of meditative concentration that does not differentiate the concept of Dharma and comprehends enlightenment, this is the perfection of meditative concentration that abides for the sake of enlightenment. Until enlightenment, to realize all dharmas as they are, with incomprehensibility and immeasurability, this is the perfection of wisdom that abides for the sake of enlightenment. These are called the six perfections of abiding. So, what are the six perfections of samsara? Until enlightenment, the perfection of generosity that obtains great enjoyment in samsara, which never runs out, this is the perfection of generosity dedicated to samsara. Until the measure of life is completely fulfilled, abiding in samsara, this is the perfection of discipline dedicated to samsara. Without a mind of harm, abiding closely with loving conduct towards others, this is the perfection of patience dedicated to samsara. In countless eons, without weariness, engaging in virtuous dharmas, this is the perfection of diligence dedicated to samsara. The meditative concentration aimed at rebirth, this is the perfection of meditative concentration dedicated to samsara. In order to see these perfections even more clearly, dedicating everything to enlightenment, and knowing all actions and crafts as they are, this is the perfection of wisdom dedicated to samsara. So, what are the six perfections of affliction? Giving precedence to the qualities of desire, thereby causing sentient beings to mature, for example, the son of the lion king, for the eighty-four thousand consorts, until they are established in the enlightenment of omniscience, taking refuge in the Three Jewels and abiding in the human realm, this is the perfection of generosity aimed at affliction. For example, in the pool of the unicorn, this discipline aimed at sentient beings, dedicated with loving-kindness, this is the perfection of discipline aimed at affliction.

Is to have gone beyond. Not denigrating desirable qualities in order to be in harmony with others is the perfection of patience that focuses on all afflictions. Diligence makes others afraid, for example, what is widely known from the story of the son of King Kusha is the perfection of diligence that focuses on all afflictions. Clinging to the meditation that arises from the view of self is the perfection of meditation that focuses on all afflictions. Being delighted in gambling, dice, and birdcage games with wisdom, and dedicating it to enlightenment with the perfection of wisdom that has an object, is the perfection of wisdom that focuses on all afflictions. Among them, what are the six perfections of benefiting others? Ripening sentient beings with desirable qualities is the perfection of generosity that benefits others. Not harming others with love is the perfection of ethics that benefits others. Being patient with the Dharma and not slandering it is the perfection of patience that benefits others. The diligence that will accomplish the perfection of the lineage of gods and humans, for example, when Indra prayed, the great Brahmin named Kintu sent sentient beings to the heavens, is the perfection of diligence dedicated to benefiting others. Joining the mind with the Dharma is the perfection of meditation that benefits others. Causing others to practice correctly for the sake of enlightenment and satisfying sentient beings with these causes is the perfection of wisdom that benefits others. The Noble Auspicious Kalpa Sutra, a Mahayana Sutra, Volume Three. Among them, what are the six perfections of abiding? Giving that falls into an object, dividing with hope, is the perfection of generosity of abiding. The ethics that abide in things is the ethics of abiding.
