He said, "First wipe this clean, and then you will know." Then, that person took that precious jewel from that person and cleaned it with the implements for cleaning. After cleaning it in this way, that precious jewel became priceless. The more he cleaned that precious jewel, the more the qualities of that precious jewel would become visible. Similarly, Manjushri, whenever a son of good family or a daughter of good family abides in this samadhi, at that time, the qualities of this samadhi will become visible. Manjushri, for example, the rays of the sun's orb pervade all orbs without exception. Manjushri, similarly, having attained, entered, and realized the samadhi of single arrangement, one does not show any dharma that is not prajnaparamita. If one knows in this way, then he does not see any dharma that contradicts the unborn. Manjushri, for example, if four people draw water from the four directions of the great ocean, they all draw and take, just as all of this water has the same taste, namely, the taste of salt. Manjushri, similarly, whatever dharma I have taught, all of these are like this: having the taste of the unborn, the taste of no-thingness, the taste of detachment, the taste of liberation, the taste of cessation, having the same taste. Manjushri, therefore, a son of good family or a daughter of good family who possesses this samadhi, whatever dharma they show, all of these are like this: showing the taste of the unborn, the taste of no-thingness, the taste of detachment, the taste of liberation, the taste of cessation, having the same taste. Having obtained this samadhi, a son of good family or a daughter of good family, if they wish, can explain whatever dharma I have taught, and can show it in detail, and can also show it approximately. Manjushri, therefore, a son of good family or a daughter of good family, having obtained this samadhi, whatever they show, all of these will, in an invisible manner, show as unborn, unarisen, and no-thingness. Manjushri, furthermore, a Bodhisattva Mahasattva who has obtained this samadhi

That person will quickly perfect all the dharmas related to Bodhi, and quickly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment and become a Buddha. Furthermore, Manjushri, whenever a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva does not see arising and ceasing, oneness and otherness, from the realm of self to the realm of dharma, Manjushri, such a Bodhisattva-Mahasattva with such forbearance will quickly realize the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment and become a Buddha. Son of good family, whoever does not think about the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment, and does not discriminate, his forbearance will also attain the dharmas of a Bodhisattva and the dharmas of a Buddha. Furthermore, whoever does not aspire to Bodhi for the sake of becoming a Buddha, such forbearance, son of good family, I say that he will quickly attain the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. If someone believes that all dharmas are Buddha-dharmas and does not become discouraged, I say that he will not regress from the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. It should be said that he is inseparable from all Buddha-dharmas. Son of good family or daughter of good family, whoever hears this teaching and does not become confused, and does not doubt, it should also be said that he is inseparable from all Buddha-dharmas. After saying this, Manjushri, the youth, said to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, does the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment necessarily arise from a cause? The Bhagavan said: Manjushri, that is not so. The unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment is not a cause, nor does it necessarily arise from a cause. Why is that? Because non-arising and non-things are not a cause, nor do they necessarily arise from a cause. Why is that? Because all dharmas are unborn. Manjushri, therefore, son of good family or daughter of good family, whoever hears this teaching and does not shrink back, I also say that he will not regress from the unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment.

Spoke. Manjushri, therefore, whether it be a monk or a nun, or a male lay devotee, or a female lay devotee, whoever does not become discouraged by this profound Prajnaparamita, and does not change until it declines, those are taking refuge in me. Those are following me into ordination, I am the teacher of those. Manjushri, son of good family or daughter of good family, whoever does not study this profound Prajnaparamita, that is not studying the training of a Bodhisattva. Manjushri, it is like this: for example, the collection of aggregates, and the collection of seeds, grass and trees, thickets, medicines, and forests, whatever there is, all of those grow relying on the great earth. Manjushri, similarly, whatever good qualities of the Bodhisattva Mahasattvas there are, all of those, if completely grasped by the Prajnaparamita, will increase and expand, and become vast, and will not deceive towards the unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. Having spoken thus, Manjushri, become a youth, said this to the Bhagavan: Bhagavan, the Prajnaparamita teaching spoken by the Bhagavan, in which towns or cities or villages or regions in this Jambudvipa will there be those who uphold it, even up to teaching it? Having spoken thus, the Bhagavan said this to Manjushri, become a youth: Manjushri, those who, having heard this Prajnaparamita teaching in this present life, also make the aspiration that they will also listen to this Prajnaparamita teaching in the life after this, those are from listening up to cultivating in the manner of not cultivating extensively. Manjushri, those who, having heard this profound Prajnaparamita, and having heard it, also obtain joy and vast delight, those are not said to have small roots of virtue. Manjushri, whoever wishes to listen to this Prajnaparamita teaching, say this to him: Son of good family, what is the use of you listening to it? Having heard it, do not believe and shrink back. Why is that?
