I, establishing all in the mind of enlightenment, not clinging to pure conduct, making images of the Thus-Gone One and placing them on lotus seats, dispelling the sorrows of sentient beings, always humbling myself before the arrogant, and not harming others, this is (the conduct of a Bodhisattva). Then, the Blessed One again spoke that verse: Even if afflicted by suffering, Never speak of others' faults, Always praising the Three Jewels, Is reborn before the Buddha. Generating the mind of enlightenment, Diligently seeking omniscience, Always practicing pure conduct, Is reborn before the Buddha. Adorning the golden Buddha image, Placing it on a precious lotus seat, Dispelling the sorrows of sentient beings, Is reborn before the Buddha. Towards those who are arrogant, Humbling myself like a disciple, Not harming others, Is reborn before the Buddha. Furthermore, daughter, if a Bodhisattva possesses eight qualities, then the merit of practice will be complete, and they will always be fond of dwelling in solitary places. What are the eight? Having few desires, being content, Completing virtuous dharmas, Nourishing oneself with virtue, Always upholding the noble lineage, Seeing the faults of samsara and constantly feeling weary in the mind, Constantly viewing impermanence, suffering, emptiness, and selflessness, Having extremely firm faith and not relying on others. Then, the Blessed One again spoke that verse: Having few desires and being content, Rejoicing in dharma, accumulating virtue, nourishing oneself, Always delighting in practicing the noble lineage, Seeing the faults of samsara, the mind is afraid. Always delighting in practice, Like a solitary rhinoceros, without companions, Conditioned things are suffering, selfless, etc., With wisdom and diligence abiding. Seeing the dharma, not following others, Always praising solitary places, Practice extends, without suffering, Without disputes, many faults. Completely abandoning relatives and friends, uttering praise, Therefore, delighting in dwelling in solitary places.

Furthermore, daughter, because a Bodhisattva possesses eight qualities, they utterly defeat the armies of Mara. What are the eight? Entering into the emptiness of inherent nature; having unwavering faith in the signless; having unwavering faith in the wishless; thoroughly understanding the unconditioned; having no doubt or hesitation about that; thoroughly enduring the unborn; thoroughly realizing the non-existence of inherent nature; and skillfully discerning all phenomena while not destroying Suchness. Then, the Bhagavan spoke again in verse: Emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, Obtaining the three liberations, utterly destroy the armies of Mara. Conditioned things, untimely death, both are non-existent. By obtaining the unborn, one will become liberated. Those who endure that all phenomena are unborn, They utterly defeat the armies of Mara. The unborn and the unceasing, and these, The aggregates and elements are without self, like illusions. Thoroughly realizing that phenomena are without inherent nature, Suchness is indestructible through skillful means. Those who discern the actions of Mara in all phenomena, Abandoning all conceptualizations, defeat Mara. Skillfully practicing both means and wisdom, Not abiding in existence or emptiness, Whoever meditates on the supreme Dharma in this way, Skillfully obtains a beautiful form. Furthermore, daughter, because a Bodhisattva possesses eight qualities, they will never be separated from Bodhi. What are the eight? Maturing beings with wrong views through right view; cherishing beings with wrong thoughts through right mindfulness; cherishing those who speak wrongly through right speech; gathering those with wrong actions through right action; averting those with wrong effort through right effort; not abandoning beings with wrong livelihoods through right livelihood; abandoning wrong thoughts through right understanding; and causing beings who abide in wrong samadhi to abandon wrong samadhi and leading them to strive upwards through right samadhi. Then, the Bhagavan spoke again in verse:
