Having understood her mind, after that night had passed and at the time of dawn, he put on his undergarment and Dharma robes, and holding his alms bowl, he entered the great city of Shravasti for alms. As he was walking for alms in the great city of Shravasti, he entered the house of that sister, and with the Dharma gate of "what is the inner realm, and what is the outer realm, those realms are the same," with a mind that is in harmony with the mind, he took that sister with his right hand and seated her on a throne. As soon as she was seated, I also spoke this verse at that time: The Buddha does not praise desire, That is not the realm of children. If one abandons craving for desire, The best of men will become Buddhas. Ananda, then that sister, having heard that verse, gave rise to joy and supreme joy. She descended from that throne and touched the feet of the Bodhisattva Lord of Hosts, Supreme King, and at that time spoke this verse: Whatever desires the Buddha has condemned, I will not seek them again in the future. Having abandoned craving for desire, May I become a Buddha, the best of men! The fault of what I thought in my heart, I confess that to you. For the sake of benefiting all living beings, I will generate the aspiration for enlightenment. Ananda, in this way, the Bodhisattva Lord of Hosts, Supreme King, with his skillful means, correctly showed that sister the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. He correctly praised her, correctly caused her to take hold of it, and correctly established her, and then he arose from his seat and departed. Ananda, look at the distinction of his superior intention! Ananda, I am that sister, and having died and transmigrated from here into a body without a male, after ninety-nine billion countless eons have passed, I will become the Tathagata, Arhat, Perfectly Complete Buddha, named 'Free from All Arising,' and will appear in the world. In that Buddha-field where he attains enlightenment, even joy will not arise for sentient beings who possess minds of unwholesome arising. He will give such a prophecy. Ananda, in that way, the Bodhisattva is able to gather

If it falls into a Dharma of wrong views, one should recognize not to hold onto it. Then, the Bodhisattva, the King of Assemblies, named Light Manifest, descended from there, bowed his head at the feet of the Bhagavan, and spoke to the Bhagavan thus: Venerable Bhagavan, Bodhisattvas should abide in skillful means and great compassion. Venerable Bhagavan, I think thus: If a Bodhisattva, in order to perfectly generate the root of virtue in one sentient being, were to incur such a fault, what kind of fault? Even if, due to the occurrence of such a fault, they were to be burned in the great hell of scorching heat for hundreds of thousands of kalpas, Venerable Bhagavan, the Bodhisattva would rejoice in incurring that fault and enduring the suffering of sentient beings in hell, but would never abandon the root of virtue of that one sentient being. That is what I think. Then, the Bhagavan gave praise to the Bodhisattva, the King of Assemblies, Light Manifest, saying: Well done! Well done! Noble being, well done! Well done! A Bodhisattva endowed with such great compassion will not become one who possesses faulty Dharmas, and will also abandon all faults. Why is that? Son of good family, it is because I have direct knowledge. In the past, countless kalpas, even more countless, vast, immeasurable, inconceivable, and even more beyond that, at that time, there arose a Brahmin boy named Star. He practiced pure conduct in the forests for forty-two thousand years. After those forty-two thousand years had passed, he entered the royal palace called Well-Prospered. When he entered that great city, a merchant's daughter saw the Brahmin boy, who was handsome, beautiful, and pleasing to behold. Her mind, completely entangled by desire for him, drove her to run to the Brahmin boy and touch his feet. Son of good family, then the Brahmin boy Star said to that girl: Sister, what do you desire? She said to him
