Furthermore, one should thoroughly understand the three vehicles. What are the three? The vehicle of the gods, the vehicle of Brahma, and the vehicle of the noble ones. These are called the three vehicles. The first dhyana is the vehicle of the gods. The second, third, and fourth dhyanas are also the vehicle of the gods. Loving-kindness is the vehicle of Brahma. Compassion, joy, and equanimity are also the vehicle of Brahma. Right view, right thought, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, and right concentration, which are called the eightfold noble path, that is called the vehicle of the noble ones. At that time, one cultivates the vehicle of the gods and also establishes sentient beings in it. From time to time, one cultivates the vehicle of Brahma and also establishes sentient beings in it. From time to time, one cultivates the vehicle of the noble ones and also establishes sentient beings in it, but one does not directly realize the liberation of the noble ones. Furthermore, one should thoroughly understand the three vehicles. What are the three? The vehicle of the Hearers, the vehicle of the Solitary Buddhas, and the Great Vehicle. These are called the three vehicles. Those with weak faith and weak faculties do not even for a moment desire existence. They abandon it without craving. Seeing the benefit of attaining nirvana immediately in that moment, like a fire burning on their head and clothes, they have a strong desire and effort to comprehend and contemplate the four noble truths. This is called the vehicle of the Hearers. Those with moderate faith, moderate faculties, who delight in solitude, who are devoted to their own benefit, who strive to abide in meditation and absorption, who are skilled in thoroughly distinguishing dependent origination, who aspire to self-enlightenment, and who make vows for self-enlightenment, this is called the vehicle of the Solitary Buddhas. Those with particularly excellent faith, particularly excellent faculties, who liberate all sentient beings, who release all sentient beings, who comfort all sentient beings, and who desire to fully accomplish all the Buddha's teachings in order to attain omniscience, and who fully accomplish the six perfections.

And wishing, disregarding the suffering of samsara in the world, even the happiness of samsara has many faults, let alone the suffering of samsara has many faults? For those who are particularly superior in discipline and conduct, abide in them, read the sutras with the vehicle of complete enlightenment, recite, receive, remember, etc., diligently practice, all those who are Bodhisattvas, great beings, they are all virtuous friends, their four blessings are true, learning giving, peace, wisdom, listening to all knowable things, receiving, holding, delighting in thinking, wishing to correctly generate all samadhi and equanimity, disregarding one's own benefit, valuing the benefit of the world, wishing to place all sentient beings in the three vehicles as much as possible, delighting in placing, and oneself also abiding in the vehicle of enlightenment, without turning back, without moving, having a vajra-like determination, constantly wishing and praying for enlightenment, this is called the Great Vehicle. Thus, know well the three vehicles. Listening to, receiving, widely practicing, and completely understanding these dharmas, one can know well the skillful means of virtue. I prostrate to all Buddhas, Dharmas, and Sanghas! I prostrate to all Buddhas, all Dharmas, and all Sanghas belonging to all realms of the world, past, future, and present! Thus, focus the mind. When prostrating once, one should generate the mind to make limitless and immeasurable prostrations. When aspiring to enlightenment, one completely dedicates oneself for the sake of saving all sentient beings, liberating all sentient beings, comforting all sentient beings, obtaining all-knowing wisdom, and perfecting all Buddha-dharmas. Similarly, one should also generate the mind when taking refuge. When walking, standing, sitting, lying down, and bathing,

Furthermore, while eating, drinking, plowing fields, sowing seeds, and doing all kinds of work, one should generate the aspiration for enlightenment in immeasurable and countless ways. Do it abundantly. While entering into meditative absorption and practicing meditation, one should also generate the aspiration for enlightenment in immeasurable and countless ways, in order to liberate all sentient beings, to free all sentient beings, to bring comfort to all sentient beings, to attain omniscience, and to perfect all the Buddha's teachings. Do it abundantly. For the sake of attaining omniscience, becoming the supreme of all worlds, taming all sentient beings, obtaining the incomparable, the unequal and the equal, bringing comfort to all worlds, completely liberating all worlds from suffering, becoming a perfectly enlightened Buddha, and perfecting all the Buddha's teachings, generate aspirations. Do it abundantly. Whatever virtuous deeds are performed, dedicate them entirely to making all sentient beings free from fear, cutting off the stream of bad destinies, pacifying all suffering, pacifying all afflictions, and attaining nirvana. Dedicate them entirely for the sake of perfecting the Hearer Vehicle for those who have appeared now and those who will appear in the future. Dedicate them entirely for the sake of perfecting the Solitary Buddha Vehicle for those who have appeared now and those who will appear in the future.
