Having heard, they were exceedingly delighted, and offered worship to the Muni, the ocean of virtues. Having made offerings in accordance with the Sugata's way, having heard the Dharma free from defilements from the great Muni, you proclaimed the garland of their virtues, and with great joy in your heart, you went to your own realm. From the search for the supreme and sacred Bodhi, your mind never had weariness. For countless billions of eons, you practiced for the sake of sentient beings. O Guide, you practiced generosity and discipline, you trained in patience, diligence, and meditation. You have gone beyond wisdom, skillful means, and power. Therefore, I prostrate to the great Guide. Skilled in miraculous feet and supreme clairvoyance, you trained in faculties, powers, and liberations. You understood the conduct of all sentient beings. I prostrate to the unequaled ocean of wisdom. You perfectly know the minds of beings, what conduct and how the path arises, and by what means liberation will occur. That is known by the Bhagavan, the supreme among humans. Abandoning the arising of desire, hatred, and ignorance, by what sentient beings do not go to the three lower realms, and by what actions they go to the happy realms, you know the good and bad deeds done by beings. Those who have passed away who benefited beings, and those who are now worshiped by gods and humans, and those who have not yet come, who have reached the ultimate perfection of virtues, you know all those Sugatas perfectly. The pure lands and the perfect retinues, and the assemblies of Bodhisattvas and Shravakas, and the lifespan of the great sages, you know completely in every way without exception. How the Dharma abides after Nirvana, and how the relics of the Buddhas are worshiped, and how the Dharma treasury is held there, all those are known by the supreme among humans. In the three times, always with the ten powers, the wisdom and knowledge enter without obscuration. Your mind has no attachment to all Dharmas. I prostrate to you, Victorious One, ocean of wisdom. There is no one equal to you, let alone superior. Just as the stars adorn the sky, so too the marks adorn your body. I prostrate to the supreme Muni, the best of humans. Your form is also incomparable, and so is your mind. You overwhelm beings, including the gods. The gods of Brahma, Indra, and Akanishta, you

How beautiful are those present before you now! You are without blemish, like a mountain of gold. Your head is smooth and glossy, with hair whorls turning to the right. Your crown is elevated, like the king of mountains. The vast accumulation of merit is clearly present. Radiating billions of rays of light, The hair between your eyebrows is beautiful. Looking upon beings with compassion and concern, Your eyes are like lotuses, delightful to the mind. Like a spotless crescent moon in the sky, Your face, O Guide, is so radiant, That those who gaze upon it never tire. I prostrate to the supreme among humans, with a beautiful face! With the confidence of a peacock and the gait of a king of deer, With the majesty of an elephant and a leisurely pace, You cause the earth to tremble and walk with grace, I prostrate to you, steadfast in the ten powers and vows! Your fingers are long, full, and beautiful, Your nails are copper-colored, clean, and adorned with a web. Even when standing, you reach and touch the gods of your knees, I prostrate to you, whose body is like the color of gold! With feet adorned with wheels and webs, You make marks on the earth and walk with grace. The rays of light from your feet fully ripen Those who die and go to the world of the gods. You are the king of Dharma, the giver of the seven treasures, The giver of Dharma with a tamed mind, Showing beings the path through Dharma practice, I prostrate to you, the guide, the lord of Dharma! With the armor of love and the sword of mindfulness, The bow of morality and the power of wisdom and skillful means, You overcome the enemies of affliction, Which increase birth, death, existence, and craving. Crossing over, you liberate billions of beings, Freeing beings from the bonds of suffering. The Sugata goes to the place of peace, Showing the path of happiness without disease. Where there is no birth or death, And the suffering of separation does not arise. You have realized this supreme, peaceful, uncompounded state through compassion, And you teach it to us. The Victorious One who has gone beyond all dharmas, By praising the supreme world of the Great Sage, May all the merit I have accumulated here Cause all beings to swiftly attain perfect enlightenment! Then, the venerable Protector of the Land praised the Bhagavan with these verses, and with palms joined

Having risen from his seat, draped his upper robe over one shoulder, and knelt on his right knee, he bowed with his palms joined towards where the Blessed One was, and said to the Blessed One: "If the Blessed One would grant me the opportunity to ask and then give a prophecy, I would like to ask the Tathagata, the Arhat, the Perfectly Enlightened Buddha about some aspects." After saying this, the Blessed One said to the Venerable Bhadrapala: "Bhadrapala, ask whatever you wish, and I will satisfy your mind by prophesying based on what you ask." After saying this, the Venerable Bhadrapala said to the Blessed One: "Blessed One, with what qualities does a Bodhisattva Mahasattva become endowed so as to obtain the distinctions of the qualities of all dharmas? To obtain knowledge independent of others? To obtain swift wisdom? To obtain certainty in eloquence? To obtain illumination? To enter into omniscience? To completely ripen sentient beings? To abandon doubt? To abandon uncertainty? To obtain certainty in omniscience? To be skilled in leading sentient beings? To act according to what is said? To be upright and without deceit? To be skilled in the faculties of sentient beings? To obtain mindfulness of the Buddha? To ask all that should be asked? To uphold all dharmas? To quickly obtain omniscience?" Then, the Venerable Bhadrapala at that time spoke these verses: How can the conduct of a Bodhisattva be thoroughly determined? How can it truly arise? How can the teachings of the ocean of wisdom be ascertained? Supreme among men, please explain it to me. Like the color of refined gold. Noble beings who have accumulated supreme merit, you are my refuge, abode, and friend. Please tell me today about the immaculate and supreme Bodhi conduct. How can one obtain dharani and nectar, the cause of the arising of Bodhi, and inexhaustible wisdom? How can one cut off the doubts of beings? How can the ocean of wisdom be purified? In samsara, through countless eons, the world...
