Therefore, one should generate universal wisdom and not abandon such a teaching that possesses the essence of merit. Like a child wandering in the five realms, this is a place of refuge. Here, oneself and the monastery reside in caves. While residing there, do not be arrogant yourself, nor slander others. Previously, you have not pleased hundreds of thousands of millions of Buddhas. After recollecting, constantly and continuously make use of yourself. Do not be attached to the body and life; abandon them. Generate strong reverence and strive to practice the Dharma. If I practice this sutra here and contemplate here, then it will be difficult for those to attain enlightenment from the outside. Those who delight in and strive for the vehicle of the Buddhas, after hearing, should return and direct their minds inward. Therefore, one should generate faith in the teachings. When wandering around, it will become like that later on. Which Bodhisattva who protects the land practices the five perfections, and which one will I learn this from? I shall abide in this discipline. Thinking thus, if one diligently practices this Dharma category, then that accumulation of merit, even one hundredth part of that accumulation of merit, cannot be approached. Not even one-thousandth, one hundred-thousandth, one hundred millionth, number, part, calculation, analogy, or cause can approach it. When the Bhagavan spoke this Dharma category, thirty trillion beings, including gods, humans, and asuras, who had not previously generated the mind, generated the mind for unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and became irreversible from unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment. Seven thousand monks, without attachment, had their minds completely liberated from the defilements. Then, the venerable Dhritarashtra said to the Bhagavan, "Bhagavan, what is the name of this Dharma category? How should it be held?" After saying this, the Bhagavan said to the venerable Dhritarashtra, "Dhritarashtra, therefore, you should hold this Dharma category as 'Meaningful Vow of Purity.' Also hold it as 'Liberation of Noble Beings.' Also hold it as 'Definite Conduct of Bodhisattvas.' It is called 'Meaning Completely Perfected.'

Also joined in the middle. The Blessed One having spoken thus, the venerable Dhritarashtra and the world with gods, asuras, gandharvas, rejoiced and praised what the Blessed One had said. The eighteenth chapter, called 'The Chapter of Dhritarashtra's Questions,' from the hundred thousand chapters of the Holy Great Jewel Heap Dharma Category, is complete. Translated and revised by the Indian Abbot Jinamitra, Danashila, Munivarma, and the revising translator, the monk Yeshe De, and also corrected and finalized with newly established language. The Holy Dhritarashtra's Questions, called the Great Vehicle Sutra.
