For example, just as a bird scattered by a dispersing wind becomes invisible in the slightest degree, so too, when this three-thousand great thousand world realm is destroyed by wind, it will become invisible in the slightest degree. Great King, in this way, the earth element's arising is also empty, and the earth element's destruction and arising are also empty in their very nature. Great King, the earth element is merely a designation, and one cannot fixate on the earth element itself. That designation is neither female nor male. Great King, in this way, understand this with wisdom that knows things as they truly are. Great King, in this regard, the water element is of two kinds: internal and external. What is the internal water element? Whatever it may be, in this body, inside, there is water, the aspect of water, the nature of water, moisture, the aspect of moisture, the nature of moisture, liquidity, that which belongs to the body, and that which is contained. And what is that? For example, tears, mucus, saliva, snot, serum, fat, bile, snot, pus, blood, milk, urine, and whatever else in this body inside is water, the aspect of water, the nature of water, moisture, the aspect of moisture, the nature of moisture, that which belongs to the body, and that which is contained—this is to be known as the internal water element. What is the external water element? There will be a continuous rain the size of an elephant's penis for five intermediate kalpas. There will be a continuous rain without ceasing for five intermediate kalpas. There will be a rain of large drops for five intermediate kalpas. It will fill this great earth, up to the realm of Brahma. Great King, when that great mass of water appears, it does not come from anywhere. Great King, there will be a time when this world is destroyed, and when this world is destroyed, the sun will appear in the world, and when two suns appear in the world, the springs and wells will dry up. Then, three suns will appear in the world, and when three suns appear in the world, the great springs and great rivers will dry up. Then, four suns will appear in the world, and when four suns appear in the world, the great, unpolluted Lake Manasarovar, into which the four great rivers flow, will also completely dry up, disappear, and cease to exist. Then, five suns will appear in the world, and when five suns appear in the world, the water of the great ocean will also be reduced to only about one yojana. Two yojanas, three yojanas, four yojanas, five yojanas, ten yojanas, twenty yojanas, thirty yojanas, forty yojanas, and about fifty yojanas of water will also be completely exhausted and reduced.
