The kidneys and, the spleen and, the intestines and, the stomach and, the bladder and, the liver and, the feces and, the anus and, the brain and, the marrow and, anything else that is hard and, rough in form inside this body, and belongs to the body and, is contained, these are the internal earth element, it should be known. Great king, what is the external earth element? Whatever it may be, the external hardness and, roughness in form, and does not belong to the body and, is not contained, this is the external earth element, it should be known. Great king, for it, when the internal earth element arises, it does not come from anywhere. When it ceases, it does not go anywhere either. Great king, a woman thinks within herself, "I am a woman," and having considered herself a woman within. Outside, she thinks of a man as a man. Having considered the man outside as a man, she becomes attached and desires to meet the man outside. That man also thinks within himself, "I am a man," and having considered himself a man within, he thinks of a woman as a woman outside. Having considered the woman outside as a woman, he becomes attached and desires to meet the woman outside. Because of desiring to meet, they become excited. Because of the cause of meeting, there is a time when arousal arises. Great king, whatever is universally conceived and, whatever is universally thought, both of those do not exist. For a woman, there is no woman. For a man, there is no man. Thus, when universal conception arises without being existent and not being true, that universal conception is also empty of inherent nature. Just as universal conception is, so too are meeting and, arousal also empty of inherent nature. How can that which is empty of inherent nature produce hardness? Great king, having understood universal conception in this way, one should realize hardness itself, and one should know that hardness does not come from anywhere when it arises. Great king, in this way, when this body becomes the end of the charnel ground, that time exists, when its hardness is destroyed and ceases, it does not go to the east. Neither to the south, nor to the west, nor to the north, nor to above and below, nor to any intermediate directions.

Thus, great king, the inner earth realm should be viewed as such. Great king, this world abides, when the sky transforms into the immeasurable palace of Brahma, made of the seven precious substances, that place exists at that time. Great king, when its solidity arises, it does not come from anywhere. Although the immeasurable palaces of the gods of Paranirmitavasavartin, made of the seven precious substances, arise, great king, when its solidity arises, it is not desired from anywhere. The surrounding and great surrounding mountains, made of diamond substance, solid and stable, towering and dense, abide, but when their solidity arises, it does not come from anywhere. Mount Meru, the king of mountains, and others holding yokes, others holding circumferences, others holding plowshares, others holding vajras, others possessing sandalwood, various submissive ones, mountain horse whispers, those showing ugliness, those extremely ugly to look at, naked ones, those emitting fragrance, snow mountains, and non-black mountains abide, and the realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds, complete with everything, abides, with a breadth of eighty-four thousand yojanas and a width of sixty thousand yojanas, when the great earth abides, great king, when solidity arises, it is not desired from anywhere. Great king, when this world is destroyed, there is a time when this great earth is burned by fire, or destroyed by water, or destroyed by wind. If it is burned by fire, then even smoke will not appear, and the remains of ashes will not appear. This is like, for example, if butter or sesame oil is burned in the sky, smoke will not appear, and the remains of ashes will not appear. Likewise, the realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds, when this is burned by fire, smoke will not appear, and the remains of ashes will not appear. When destroyed by water, no residue will appear at all, just as, for example, when salt dissolves in water, no residue appears at all. Likewise, when this realm of the three thousand great thousand worlds is destroyed by water, no residue will appear at all. Destroyed by wind
